the worst food ever!!!!!. this place is awful!!!! it's like walking into a cafateria.... people were raving about the crab balls and it's nothing but bread with a few pieces of jumbo lump meat thrown in. not worth the money at all!!!!!

mediocre food, way over priced. warning. watch for shells in their "famous" crab cakes. i chipped a tooth on one. priced like an upscale restaurant with the quality of long john silver's.

the food here was excellent although after eating a large amount of my mashed potatoes i found a beatle in the middle. the manager although polite wasn't very receiving when i asked for something to be removed from my bill. acted as if i placed it there! it wasn't a good experience being my first visit there and treating a friend to a birthday dinner.

awful. my husband and i live in north carolina and attended a birthday celebration with a party of 23 people on sunday, april 1. the food was awful! everyone in our party had a complaint about their food. my husband and i order "lamb chops with a baked potato" when i received my order two of the chops were burnt the bake potato was half cooked! this place is over rated and i do not recommend it to any of my friends!

blue dophin seafood bar and grill. my cousins and i went to lunch and honestly, i was so pleasantly surprised. i ordered crab cake. it came with a delicious salad but the crab cake was outstanding. it had large chunks of crab not lots of filler like in other places. the crab was so fresh and delicious it did not need much to dress it up. the coleslaw was wonderful too!! an outstanding platter with two wonderful servers. it does not get better than this. anne

big portions, which make the higher prices worth it. they have a really nice valentine day special for two that makes for a special evening. some holidays they get extremely busy even with reservations.

the cake could use a little more spice, like some old bay, to give the flavor a bit more complexity other than crab and egg. also, the amount of sauce can be dialed back as the firming of the sauce does get to be offputting.

went there last week for the first time. i ordered the crab cake. it was good, but it didn't have any old bay. u asked for some of the seasoning and they were out of it! huh?!! how can u be a seafood restaurant without old bay on a friday?! it was very loud in the restaurant, tables were very close together and it was expensive. i want ambiance for the price. my husband and i aren't going back.

the restaurant was extremely hot, our dinner party wasn't happy with the food, people were uncomfortable and wasn't able to eat their food. the crabcakes weren't cooked throughly.

delicious calamari, and at half price for happy hour, unbeatable! plus the good drink specials! a must go!

the food was terrible! i went for the first time to a birthday dinner party celebration and i must say i was highly disappointed. the baked crab imperial tasted like nothing but hollandaise sauce and an overabundance of mayo!!! at least three guests in our dinner party returned their food to the kitchen for something else because their food tasted bad. most of the food lacked seasoning and was very bland. the only thing worth ordering is the steamed shrimp and the cream of crab soup. they inundate you with a large portion of food but what's the use of a lot of food when it's just not good!!! it was my first and last time going and i won't be back!!!!! truly disappointed!!!

enjoyed... celebrated a friends wedding anniversary at the blue dolphin. overall, i enjoyed my food. i ordered the crab dip as an appetizer, i did not like it, it was very "milky" and somewhat salty. for my entree, i enjoyed the shrimp and crabcakes and my daughter had the baked talipia. overall it was a good meal. can't say that it would be in my list of have to dine at again, but it was ok and for a good reason...

awful!!!!!!!. this restaurant was recommended. my first visit. my party waited 1hr to be seated and another hour to be served. we had ordered 3 steaks as a part of our meal. do not order the steak!!!! all three were very tough , and it appeared the meat was either old or just unfrozen. the seasoning was sprinkled heavily across the top. it did absolutely nothing for the taste. i complained to the manager, who just stood there and made excuses. he even tried to convince me that a medium well steak is tough because it does not hold the juices in????? i told him a medium well steak is tough only in this restaurant in my view. his feeble attempt to make amends was to reduce a $192 bill by $10. my worst experience ever, dining. my advice to all is to remove this place from your list. also, the seating is very cramped and crowded. just awful. not worth the time, i was left with a feeling of being hustled. this place is overrated!!!!!!!!

not thrilled. i find the service and food to be below par. i think they are still suffering growing pains.

i was very dissappointed. it was all quantity, no quality. huge portions of everything exept coffee and tea. over-cooked under-spiced blackened swordfish, limp fries, so-so veal, and flavorless carrot cake and chokolate mousse cakes. the service was inattentive and unprofessional. i expect more when i spend this kind of money.
