great "pub?" food. recommended by a friend, and i was amazed! this restaurant has the feel of a nice steak restaurant/sports bar, and theservicewas quick and pleasant. the food was outstanding, but not exactly traditional irish pub style. i had "the lost" sheppard's pie, and it was a pile of mashed potatoes, vegetables, and a slab of tender pot roast served on top. the flavor was excellent. my wife had the ruben sandwich, and raved about it all day. she said it was more like a huge corned beef sandwich from new york than a typical ruben. the "german chocolate cake" left a little to be desired... as it was basically dark chocolate cake with german chocolate icing. great selection of beverages... even imported belhaven scottish ale in bottles and guinness on tap! the prices were comparable to a steak restaurant instead of a pub, but for the quality of the food in a small town on the central coast, it was appropriate. three entree's, two beers, one glass of wine, and one dessert ran about $75 with tip. the pinot grigio wine they suggested for my wife was a bit pricey at $7.25 for a half a glass... but the beers were competitive at $2.75 - $6.00. all in all, a really nice place, and it will be one of my regular stops.
