bj's restaurant and brewhouse

if only i could have given it a -1 star; no one there cares! i am through with this terrible and unprofessional place! whenever my family and i dine here we spend over a $100 and this may not mean much tobj'sbut, it's important to us. we were tired and exhausted so we decided to order and pick up our food. yes, our exhaustion caused us to make the big mistake of trusting inbj'sand not checking our order when we picked it up.  i ordered the mandarin orange-glaze double bone pork chop dinner for myself, the regular double-boned pork chop dinner for my husband, an order of root beer glazed wings,  and a kids meal pepperoni pizza for our grandchild. the wings had no root beer glaze on them. both pork chop dinners had been some how mixed up!. both pork chops were burnt and dried out! mines had no orange sauce but they had put some type of mustard sauce with it. my husband's pork chop had some type of sauce on it; your guess is as good as mines. the sides were ok. when i called them about "their" mistakes, they wanted to argue about it! told me at least i did get some wings! i have officially putbj'son my three-strike list because that's the third costly mistake they've made. they did offer me a "$20 courtesy card" for my troubles and i declined it; i just want my money back. $20 vs. the $62.34 i spent.....no! they finally agreed to refund all but $15 and i'm giving them 4 days for it to hit my bank. when done correctly, their mandarin orange-glazed pork chop is so delicious but, i'm willing to give up the entire restaurant for peace of mind!

deciding where to go for my solo dinner while traveling is always a tough decision. never really heard ofbj'sbut saw it on the app while in houston last week and looked like a great menu. i ordered the beet and arugula salad to start. perfect combination of ingredients. probably one of the top 3 salads i have had and i made the other 2 myself. cherry chipotle salmon for dinner...awesome. nutty brewnette is a great brown ale. i thought this was a houston local place until i looked into it a little. why haven't i heard of this chain? why didn't i know there is one in my city and another one coming? this restaurant has been under the radar in my world and i am on the road 4 nights a week. since houston, i've been tobj'sin dallas and indianapolis and will probably try to find one wherever i go next. great menu.

horrible service. i went tobj'swith 13 other co-workers. we had a reservation and the service was still crappy. the food was okay, but some of us received warm food because the server was waiting for other dishes to be ready insteasd of just serving what was already done. i will never go back to this bj's.

sorry our check wasn't bigger.. andy and i shared the gluten free pizza with black chicken, mushrooms, black olives and roasted peppers. good flavor. but thebj'swas crowded and we had dinner at the bar. when i asked for water the waiter replyed "that's free don't you want something else" i was a little taken back. sorry if we didn't go over $30 on our tab, so your tip would be bigger. with that comment we'll thank twice before going back.

great food, fun atmosphere.bj'shas exceptional food- especially their pizza which is chicago style. however, everything i've had from salads, sandwiches and nachos are all amazing. i've never left 100% content- and i've always been full.

they have a huge bar, in which they also brew their own beer, most of which are really good. i would recommend ordering the beer sampler for your first time- which you can pick 4-5 beers (about 5 oz each) so you can try them all. if you like cocktails, those are also great, but slightly pricey in comparison to the food/other drinks.

the atmosphere is similar to a sports bar. it is casual, but cool.

only fall back is at dinner time, the wait is generally 45-65 minutes.

when you go to bjs- you must- order the pizzookie, their world famous dessert. it is a cookie on a skillet with icecream on top, and it is the best in class.

as far as service, i have had absolutely incredible waitresses/waiters even during peek hours. that being said, there has been several times where the service has sucked, even during off times when the server didn't have any other tables. so service, overall, is a toss-up in both the bar area and the restaurant.

go there for the beer. if you enjoy full flavored beer,bj'sbrewhouse is a must. i had the pale ale and an irish red beer. both were excellent, but their jeremiah red is worth the trip alone. i'm looking forward to visiting again to try the other brews they offer. the food is better than average and it comes in very nice size portions. my wife had the pizza and ate almost the entire thing. apparently the pizza is really good as well.
