bj's restaurant and brewhouse

one of my favorite places when i come to houston. great food. great service. always a good time and good value. had the fried chicken last time. would definitely order it again.

great all around restaurant. we like this place, high ceilings, long bar, and an open atmosphere make it a comfortable, if only a bit loud, place to dine. the food is fresh, how you want it and reasonably priced. we really like all the options as everyone in a large party is bound to find something they want! great beer selection! the bad? parking is horrible.

this place is great! they have an extensive menu and their microbrews are delicious.

lunch

we went to bj’s for lunch! seating was fast! the wait staff was very attentive and friendly! the food was great as usual!

if only i could have given it a -1 star; no one there cares! i am through with this terrible and unprofessional place! whenever my family and i dine here we spend over a $100 and this may not mean much to bj's but, it's important to us. we were tired and exhausted so we decided to order and pick up our food. yes, our exhaustion caused us to make the big mistake of trusting in bj's and not checking our order when we picked it up.  i ordered the mandarin orange-glaze double bone pork chop dinner for myself, the regular double-boned pork chop dinner for my husband, an order of root beer glazed wings,  and a kids meal pepperoni pizza for our grandchild. the wings had no root beer glaze on them. both pork chop dinners had been some how mixed up!. both pork chops were burnt and dried out! mines had no orange sauce but they had put some type of mustard sauce with it. my husband's pork chop had some type of sauce on it; your guess is as good as mines. the sides were ok. when i called them about "their" mistakes, they wanted to argue about it! told me at least i did get some wings! i have officially put bj's on my three-strike list because that's the third costly mistake they've made. they did offer me a "$20 courtesy card" for my troubles and i declined it; i just want my money back. $20 vs. the $62.34 i spent.....no! they finally agreed to refund all but $15 and i'm giving them 4 days for it to hit my bank. when done correctly, their mandarin orange-glazed pork chop is so delicious but, i'm willing to give up the entire restaurant for peace of mind!

great place for food and sports

conveniently located next to my hotel, serves good food, very friendly staff - the place can get busy. always showing a selection of sports but not noisy so easy to chat and relax. wide selection of beers so great i can walk to it

the best fried chicken we ever had! no exaggeration! this place is great to go anytime. costs are reasonable.

deciding where to go for my solo dinner while traveling is always a tough decision. never really heard of bj's but saw it on the app while in houston last week and looked like a great menu. i ordered the beet and arugula salad to start. perfect combination of ingredients. probably one of the top 3 salads i have had and i made the other 2 myself. cherry chipotle salmon for dinner...awesome. nutty brewnette is a great brown ale. i thought this was a houston local place until i looked into it a little. why haven't i heard of this chain? why didn't i know there is one in my city and another one coming? this restaurant has been under the radar in my world and i am on the road 4 nights a week. since houston, i've been to bj's in dallas and indianapolis and will probably try to find one wherever i go next. great menu.

if you want a sit down restaurant near the mall go here! especially during the week, it's much calmer. pizza is deliciousness - get the mediterranean, our favorite. if you come on weekend make reservations and if it's for two be particular with your seating.

one of the better places to eat by the mall. the pizza here is really good but super filling, i've never gotten through more than 2 slices. the root beer is a real treat too, its served in a frosted mug!

this is a dependable, inexpensive, good quality place to eat and have a brew.  we enjoy almost every entrée when we go here.  this time around it was the north beach mahi & shrimp (good taste, a little soupy), lemon thyme chicken (bursting with lemony flavour) and a salmon dinner.  we finished things off with a pizookie trio.  the pizookies were wonderfully tasty, but a bit stuck to the container.  the mojitos were perfect, but at $8.50, you might do better with a  cider or a beer.  speaking of ciders, there are only two on the menu, and neither of them are 'normal' - a place for improvement as ciders become more popular in the summer.  service was up to par as it normally is.  the ambience is pub-style, which is appropriate given that it is a brewhouse!

horrible service. i went to bj's with 13 other co-workers. we had a reservation and the service was still crappy. the food was okay, but some of us received warm food because the server was waiting for other dishes to be ready insteasd of just serving what was already done. i will never go back to this bj's.

ok but not worth the $$. while the salads were tasty and the beers pretty were good, they weren't that good. i think i could have done better somewhere else for $40 afternoon lunch.

don't waste your time on the food! atmosphere is good but the food was the quality of a bowling alley. stuffed mushrooms barely had any cheese?! what a rip off. the mini vegetarian pizza looked like it came right out of the frozen food section. $10?! domestic beer in the bottle $4.50?! please, this place is a low class pub at best. service was pretty bad as well. the waiter came to our table 3 times and that includes drinks, ordering, and giving us the bill. will not be back. biggest waste of money.
