bj's restaurant and brewhouse

sick and rude. i agree, there's something about their pizza. i have eaten there twice and it just didn't settle with me. i spoke with the manager there during lunch time and he was rude. other things seem to be more important to him at the time. if i can't get good food or service, what's the point of going?

you must try the thai shrimp lettuce wraps!

had cheeseburger. not quite as rare as i like, but not burned. bartender does great job.

sorry our check wasn't bigger.. andy and i shared the gluten free pizza with black chicken, mushrooms, black olives and roasted peppers. good flavor. but the bj's was crowded and we had dinner at the bar. when i asked for water the waiter replyed "that's free don't you want something else" i was a little taken back. sorry if we didn't go over $30 on our tab, so your tip would be bigger. with that comment we'll thank twice before going back.

tastes like frozen food to me. maybe if you're drinking beer you won't notice the food sucks

great food and great beer. everything here is good but the rush hour service. on fridays at noon this place is about 5 waiters short. come for dinner or late lunch but not at noon with a group of more than 6.

lunch was good. a client suggested this place, and it was great for lunch. i had the turkey cobb sandwich and she had the roast beef dip, which she says she always ordered. mine was excellent with the wedge-cut seasoned fries and hers looked pretty good. the sandwich was a great lunch portion with not too many fries on the plate. service was good, and it seemed to be a hot spot for lunch since the tables filled up within no time. i'd gladly come here again if in the area and need a place with a variety of meal options - burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, salads, pastas, and home-brewed beer.

great food, fun atmosphere. bj's has exceptional food- especially their pizza which is chicago style. however, everything i've had from salads, sandwiches and nachos are all amazing. i've never left 100% content- and i've always been full.

they have a huge bar, in which they also brew their own beer, most of which are really good. i would recommend ordering the beer sampler for your first time- which you can pick 4-5 beers (about 5 oz each) so you can try them all. if you like cocktails, those are also great, but slightly pricey in comparison to the food/other drinks.

the atmosphere is similar to a sports bar. it is casual, but cool.

only fall back is at dinner time, the wait is generally 45-65 minutes.

when you go to bjs- you must- order the pizzookie, their world famous dessert. it is a cookie on a skillet with icecream on top, and it is the best in class.

as far as service, i have had absolutely incredible waitresses/waiters even during peek hours. that being said, there has been several times where the service has sucked, even during off times when the server didn't have any other tables. so service, overall, is a toss-up in both the bar area and the restaurant.

go there for the beer. if you enjoy full flavored beer, bj's brewhouse is a must. i had the pale ale and an irish red beer. both were excellent, but their jeremiah red is worth the trip alone. i'm looking forward to visiting again to try the other brews they offer. the food is better than average and it comes in very nice size portions. my wife had the pizza and ate almost the entire thing. apparently the pizza is really good as well.
