this place is always busy but you don’t have to wait long for the food. i’ve been here a couple of times and it’s been consistently good. their pho serving is decent for the price paid. there is a good selection of traditionalvietnamesedishes. they don’t split bills and i’d recommend you book if you have a group.

this was the place where i dated my husband for the first time. their special pho is mr yu’s all time favorite, and i love their vermicelli salad the best. the bestvietnameserestaurant in canberra!

i came in with high expectations after hearing my brother’s praise of this place. it delivered above and beyond any expectations i had. coming from avietnamesebackground i can guarantee this place is legit. the banh xeo (vietnamese pancake) had a perfect texture and was delicious with well seasoned filling. the nem nuong (marinated pork) rice paper rolls which were house made also did not disappoint. finally the beef dac biet pho was up there on best phos i’ve had. insanely fresh and tasty broth, meats were beautifully tender and serving size was generous. decor is modern and authentic and service was genuine. highly recommend. 10/10

this is a fabulous place forvietnamesefood! the restaurant itself is well decorated, and reminds me of some of the hip restaurants in hanoi. the food is really fresh, tasty and well portioned. i really recommend the pho and iced coffee. the staff are always friendly and the pricing is pretty reasonable for canberra. recommended.

i know i'm a spoiled melbournevietnamesefood wanker but shit, this was barely passable. had pho and a prawn noodle dish and they both looked kind of likevietnamesefood but tasted like paper with a picture of coriander on it.
the decor is nice and maybe the other dishes are good, but pho that bad isn't a good omen.

it's a very popularvietnameserestaurant in city.if you wanna try typical asian food then it is here.noodles are great and affordable(about $15 pp).pretty friendly service and waiters can give you some recommendations if you can't choose which dishes.

haven't hadvietnameseoften enough to comment on the food, but the card surcharge no matter what the bill amount is a bit ridiculous. and can't pay by card at all if the bill is below a certain amount, $10 or $15 i forgot.

a relative newcomer to the city centre, bistro nguyen is doing a good job of offering tastyvietnamesefood in a fun setting with plenty of nostalgic decor. the fresh pork and prawn spring rolls are excellent value at $6.50 for three and come with a good hoisin dipping sauce. they are a good accompaniment if sharing another dish.

i have been in manyvietnameserestaurants in sydney and melbourne. this was the first one in canberra and it was a bad experience.
the staff threw at me an angry look, furiously took the menus away from my table. in sydney and melbourne, staff only get $8-$11/hour but if they upset, they would look away instead of putting it on customers.

great, no-fuss, affordablevietnamesein civic. the honey sweet potatoes are a great entree, as are the beef spring rolls. it's a nicely decorated space. love the pho!

great, busy, happy vibe, dine-invietnameseoption in heart of town. pho is great, the duck and shitake mushroom noodle soup is amazing and the lime lemongrass and chilli tofu is sublime. staff are lovely but not intrusive. it's a regular for me now.
