food- good. the description on the menu is accurate
service-goodservice. the quality of service is acceptable. acceptable because a few of the waiters were actually very kind and demonstratedgoodmaners however some didn't live up the dining experience associated with the ambiance of the establishment.
ambiance- the design of the room is okay. it's more elongated into an l shape. not as open as i'd like but once you get to eating it isn't noticeable that the dining area isn't that big.
price- the price isgoodfor what you get. some dishes are more expensive than their actual worth in terms of ingredients and preparation. the other dishes are almost spot on for the price.

it's agoodfine dining, with an affordable price. plus, their complimentary soup is very tasty. i just found their crews not very acommodating and their place a little uncomfortable. i don't know, i just felt a little uncomfy when we ate there.

service and the quality of food is really good. the pricing is reasonable. it was also agoodidea to come up with combo meals to cater solo and small group diners. one of the best restaurants in solenad.

we've looked around solenad for agoodquality yet affordable restaurant to try, we've found this! set meal starts from 235php (includes soup and iced tea), but their ala carte are quite expensive.

we have ordered:

1) pork belly with green mango shrimp rice (235php) - pork was a bit tender, sauce was just ok (my mom can prepare binagoongan better!) sorry bistro charlemagne! :d, but the combination with the green mango is a great idea!goodjob!

2) crispy dinuguan paella (235php) -goodservings, nice presentation, great taste (a bit sour, but it really blends with the pork and the rice and some veggies.)

3) coconut fish fillet (235php)- i wasn't able to try this, sorry! :d

4) sisig with fries (ala carte) (can't recall the name of the dish) (can't remember the price too!) i find this combination a bit weird, for me, sisig doesn't fit much with the typical fries, but the sisig itself tastes good, and can be shared by 2-3 medium eater. 5) plain rice (can't remember the price too. haha)

the place is really classy. the chandelier and table theme make it more sophicated.

they offer "budget set meals" so it's quite affordable than in the past.

because of the reviews posted, i tried the most reviewed dishes in their menu.

shrimp poppers - my fave! i just love how they made it so creamy. the fried shrimps balanced out the savory taste of the sauce.

beef tenderloin rolls with cheese - i was rather disappointed with this since most of the reviews are all about this dish. the cheese overwhelmed the beef too much that all i can taste was cheese.

little asia's crispy chicken - it was a classic chicken prepared. it wasgoodbut not extraordinary (i forgot to take a photo of it)

octopus ala pobre - my dad ordered it and he said it was rather spicy. for me, it's just fine but not worth-remembering

mixed creamy seafood rice - my mom ordered this. the serving is for two people so we had to help her finish the plate. it was also okay but i can't say it's the best.

s'mores - i like the presentation but what i love the most is the chocolate underneath. i believe they used pure tablea and milk. you will surely want to dig in more. i wish the amount of chocolate is more than the mallows.

decision: 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

looks classy enough for us to try it out while we were looking for a place to hangout in solenad, sta. rosa. a bit pricey but they do have set meals to compensate for it.

we enjoyed their asian tuna tataki salad (php325) the most. their combination chow mein (php345) is prettygoodas well. set meals we ordered were the creamy seafood baked rice (php225) and the salt & pepper squid which were just so-so. set meals come with free soup and a glass of iced tea.

i’ve read about bistro charlemagne before but it’s in nuvali and that’s quite far where i live. when i  saw that they had opened a new branch at ayala feliz,  i was eager to give it a try . the mall location was pretty nice and the location of the bistro on the roof terrace with a  good garden view. the garden décor makes it feel very chill and homey.

let no fancy decor intimidate you from entering this food haven in nuvali.

fifth stop of our trip is this fancy looking place in solenad. since we came from another fancy resto earlier, we decided to continue with another one. the place looks reallygoodwith all the chandeliers and the nicely covered seats. when we got inside, we realized that even if the decors were high-end, the vibe was actually homey. you see large tables full of families rather than single ones with just couples. music was also very chill.

so anyway, we asked the server for their best-sellers and decided to get those.
> ox sisig - they say it’s one of a kind but honestly it’s just like an elevated sisig. it’s creamy, delicious but not amazing. i needed more of that cripiness so i hope they can have more of that.
> shrimp poppers - plump and whole shrimps dipped in some batter and fried. then topped with some amazing sauce. reallygooddish for a shrimp lover like me.
> little asia’s crispy chicken - another one of my faves here. the chicken had some amazing flavor in it which i heard was passes on from the owner’s grandparents. chicken skin wasn’t cripsy but it was wow amazing.
> beef tenderloin rolls w/ cheese - the star of the show. super duper good. i am a big cheese fan and this dish really makes use of the cheese well. the meat was juicy and the sauce was just amazing. cheese inside? perfect!

again, don’t be intimidated with this places’ interiors. the price of the food isn’t too expensive. i would even say that it’s super reasonable considering the taste of the food. i heard that they have a branch in marikina so i will be trying that out.

we had dinner last night at bistro charlemagne. we ordered their best sellers: beef tenderloin rolls with cheese, little asia's crispy chicken, and yang chow fried rice. serving size isgoodfor sharing up to 3 pax.

nothing beats how comforting the taste of their dishes. super liked the yang chow because of the overloaded toppings, perfect combination for the crispy chicken. of course, no one wouldn't loveir the beef tenderloin! i liked how it was all done.

lots of people dining in when we had our dinner, almost all of them were families.

because we have a big family the place is really perfect for us. everything’sgoodand even the kids liked it .siguro dahil lagi silang maraming guests nagmamadali na sila and they tend to forget to clean the utensils well. attentive and friendly staff. siguro they should improve a little lang din interior ng place. overall, it was a nice experience for us.

we always pass by this restaurant whenever we are in nuvali. i guess we are creatures of habit, always sticking to our usual favorites.
and boy were we surprised by this restaurant.
we had a weekday dinner and we were immediately seated.
we ordered rocket and mango salad, vietnamese spring rolls, little asia crispy chicken, ox sisig, beef tenderloin rolls with cheese, shrimp poppers, yang chow, plus a few cups of plain rice. 😊
the salad and chicken were ok. but everything else was excellent. totall bill was around 2500. we were stuffed! we finished everything. it was that food! and also super sulit as the servings are big.goodfor family meals. they have 215 set meals too if you are on a budget.
already planning to visit again soon 😍

a collection of selected heirloom dishes, boundless heaps of culinary creativity and a lot of hard work and dedication is what defines the restaurant that is bistro charlemagne.

to be perfectly honest i didnt know what to make of this restaurant at first glance, an asian fusion restaurant that has a french name with club like interiors, if there was an example of a restaurant going through a brand identity crisis, charlemagne is pure textbook.

however dont let this description fool you of what charlemagnes true nature is, what it lacks in brand clarity it more than makes up for it with quality and creativity. so in case you find yourself at charlemagne's doorstep heres what i recommend you order:

1.) lengua sisig with topped with chicharon bulaklak - this is one of those culinary experiments wherein you'd say "no way, who couldve thought of something like this". well, it's real, its sinfullygoodand is every bit as advertised. the silky smooth and savory consistency of the lengua tossed in greasy mayonnaise topped by crunchy and greasier heaps of chicaron bulaklak. its so indulgent that it feels like letting your heart go through 3 levels of cholesterol endurance tests.

2.) beef tenderloin rolls with cheese - like the lengua sisig, this is another heart break dish (having too much will literally break your heart). rolls of melted cheese wrapped in thin strips of juicy and fat striped tenderloin, once inside your mouth the concept of what's meat and what's cheese is blurred as your tongue dissolves it in one fatty goo.

if youre not the yolo type of diner and are more conscious about your physical well being (perhaps you still have kids to send through college) i recommend you try their little asia's crispy chicken, the skin is light, crispy and tasty with juicy poultry meat underneath.
