interesting experience. we had planned to eat in the basement of the grocery store, next to the auction barn, in kidron. it is the best place to actually be among the amish people. we were too late for lunch. the young man selling shoes in the same basement suggested we try bishop's. we arrived there mid-afternoon. there were quite a few people there. our waitress was terrific. our food was very good. after lunch we went to the smucker's store just down the road. next time i will try the "nutty muffet"...and have more handmade onion rings! bishop's is a one-of-a-kind restaurant we hope to find along theroadwhen we are traveling.
