looks gourmet, but isn't. went with friends for a bite and some drinks. had a pitiful caprese salad with firm mozarella and unripe pale tomatoes. this was followed by thick sliced carpaccio formed into little cylinders and served without the traditional mustard. has the atmosphere of a gourmet place with chef gradefoodbut delivers less.

comfy setting. rather pricey, bothfoodand drinks, but an enjoyable evening. the entree focus seems to be mostly seafood with a couple of deviations. loved the bread pudding with the bourban sauce!

something different. i and my family went here for restaurant week. going in i knew what to expect and was excited to try something out of the ordinary, but two in our party were not and they were not totally happy. but i feel that's their fault for not doing any research ahead of time. i loved all my food! i had one of the drinks i think it was called fatal attraction, a nice sized drink that really snuck up on me; the duck confiti beignets, although don't think beignets think hushpuppies, were a nice twist on something familiar and delish; the butter poached scallops were soo good, very buttery and satisfying; and i finished with the chocolate mousse. the other people in the party had the braised beef which i had a bite of and it was very good, another had the scallops as well, and one went off the restaurant week fixed menu and got the smoked salmon flatbread - now she did not like this because she did not know that smoked meant not cooked, but another in the party traded w/ her and that person loved it. this restaurant is a bit different from other places in br because it has a more upscale vibe and itsfoodis a bit more complex. the portions are not small but they are not exactly hardy. if i had not had three course i would probably have been left hungry. also the prices are a bit much. i loved thefoodand for a special occasion kinda place or somewhere to go after work for a drink and a small bite i'd go back. but this won't be a regular place for lunch or dinner.

bin 77 is a small wine bar tucked into perkins rowe. it would be described as intimate by some people and by cramped as others. it was a bit too tight for comfort- hard to even pull a chair out from a table. thefoodmade up for the difficult seating easily though. me and my dining companion each picked different items for the largest variety of courses possible. for our first course, we went with the creole devils on horseback and the smoked duck confit beignets. the second course was roasted beef tenderloin and stuffed mississippi quail. lastly, we went with brulee cheesecake and chocolate mousse cake. the beignets are

perfection, it is attainable!. i have been established in baton rouge, la for over 20 years now as a local businessman. there are the generic watering holes for the local beefrunners and casual fan of local sports establishments. however, for the essence inclined to pursue the possibility of perfection, hands down this is the only home i consider. they say you can never go home again, but the reality is this is home. the bartenders anticipate your every desire and need. the separation between need and want are what creates one's reality. needs are a given, wants are a luxury. the unexpected, fantastically seasonfoodas a bonus to coalesce the experience completing the genius of your surroundings. i hesitate to continue only because i do not want to take away from your own experiences that reach a neverending pinnacle of pleasures. come as one, come as all. it's an experience i continue 52 weeks a year. this is home. come say hello to the friendly staff and fantastic management. the finest home in baton rouge or anywhere else for that matter.

our favorite date place. my husband and i like to go on a date once a week or so and bin 77 is our favorite date place. the environment is intimate, cozy and inviting. thefoodis exceptionally good and the staff is professional and warm. the wine selection is extensive, they make a great mojito and the tuna nicoise salad is my favorite! i could not recommend bin 77 any higher.

greatfoodand wine!. so i have been going to bin 77 since it was called the grape. it's in perkins rowe so i love to go there and grab a drink before a movie or to have a relaxing dinner. the wine menu by the glass is huge so there are tons to choose from! the last time i went the waitress was so nice to let me taste several different wines to help me decide what i liked best. as forfoodi love the flatbreads and the specials on the weekend are always really good!! another thing i like is that they tend to change up the menu so there is something new to try each time i go. another big plus is that the chairs are so comfy so i usually end up staying for an extra glass of wine to relax just a little longer!

tries and misses. while our waiter was nice, the service was incredibly slow. they must have one poor guy in the kitchen cooking from scratch. then thefoodcame and it was not so great. the crab cakes are dry and mostly breadcrumbs, with fine shredded crab (no lumps at all). the shrimp and grits looked delicious but was void of flavor. i will not return.
