from the moment  the champion lager hit the tongue, i knew we were in safe hands, easily one of the most vibrant american eats to pop in brisbane city, the cheeseburger rates right up there with the best of them and the ribs are breathtaking. all told well priced and cool location. if you get a sec to say hi to the charming man himself make sure you do so. well played big roddy! #reviewchallenge

best ribs i've had in brisbane, and half the price of most places. the pork ribs are amazing. and though not normally a fan of beef ribs, i'd almost say they're better than the pork. definitely a must try.

as a completely independent, unbiased third party food reviewer i can honestly say this restaurant is fantastic. all the food is delicious and the range of beers and wine is perfect. you can even ask the staff to recommend whivh one of the many bottled craft beers is perfectly paired to you meal! amazing!

so..... not going to lie i took a photo of the sign before i walked in to big roddys 😂 obviously i was a tad excited 🙄😅

we were greeted by a lovely lady who offered to shift a few tables and was more than accommodating. service here? 💯

looking at the menu i was abit like 🤔 can i just order everything. in the end i ordered the cheeseburger and buffalo wings with original bbq sauce and aioli dipping sauce (i'm a wuss i can't handle spicy 😬)

sat down at our table and in the background "mo money mo problems" is playing and i'm like okay.... how often do i get to go to lunch and hear biggie playing in the background.... had to stop myself ordering one of those beers on tap cause i probably wouldn't have gone back to work 😏

anyway! back to the food.... my team mates ordered the sweet potato fries 😫 what did u put in them! i don't understand how you made them taste like that... they were disgusting.... #sarcasm if "fried heaven in a bowl" was a thing, it would be them..

this is abit getting a bit long... so in a nutshell i wasn't even full but asked for a doggy bag so i could enjoy my leftover two wings and half a cheeseburger at 3pm....

next thing to tackle is the poutine and ribs for sure. only criticism i have is that i ordered 6 wings, got 7 but probably could have eaten a couple / ten more!

in conclusion this is now the new "go-to".... good vibes, great service and amazing food! if i wasn't trying to be skinny i would be there at 12pm for lunch all day errday!

came here for lunch with friends and ordered some of the best american style eats in brisbane, which is a big call considering how many american barbecue and burger joints continue to pop up in this city. service was great - our drinks were topped up, we were offered more sauces and a friend received a free drink for her birthday. meals are well priced and delicious. the marinade on everything was just right and the choice of sides were a big plus too. make sure you wear loose clothing and prepare to don a bib for your ribs to truly embrace the big roddy's experience. #reviewchallenge

eaten here multiple times and consistently had great burgers and ribs, sides and starters are tasty too. can't go wrong👍

drinks are reasonably priced for the area too.

ordered something different every time i've been and have never been disappointed. burgers are on point and that big roddy beer is the best!!

great food and cool atmosphere. had the pork ribs with sweet potato fries. the ribs were fall off the bone delicious and thee beer was a perfect match. had to come back for the chicken burger, big roddy style.

the best ribs i’ve ever had! 🤤 the green beans were sensational. very friendly service with quick waiting time. the price matched up to the portion and quality of the food. highly recommend the pork ribs! we also tried the cheeseburger and it was just so so. however, the whole dining experience was excellent!

great service and mostly great food. loved the ribs - they were sticky and tender and everything that great ribs should be. the downfall was the bacon that we paid extra for on the poutine. a lot of it had been burnt and was therefore inedible, which was a real let down.
