best bbq i've had in sa!!!. i have to say, i live right around the corner from this place, went over a year without noticing it and one day just decided to try it.....well....that was history...i am addicted tobiglous burgers and bbq! my family and i have visited this place over 6 times in the last month....from the burgers to the chopped beef to sliced brisket, from the pulled pork (my favorite) to the seasoned so great chicken strips....i absolutely love this place. we have yet to try everything on the menu yet, but hope to soon! now, onto the sides...i love the pinto beans, seasoned to perfection...green beans are too good to ever pass up....potato salad....mannnn....i dont ever eat anyones potato salad, but my own, and this is about as close as it gets....absolutely wonderful! i cant say enough good aboutbiglous burgers and bbq. i work on the entire other side of town and have referred all of my coworkers to come visit this place...most people know of the pizza place, but fail to realize there is a burgers and bbq spot right up the street! i even carry the to go menu in my purse, to pull out and brag about how good this place is....like i sd, im addicted and so is my family....let me just go on by saying, i have a very big, greedy husband, that loves to eat just as much as i do....and he never leaves this place anything other than fat full and completely satisfied! long story short....i lovebiglous burgers and bbq!!! defiantely worth the $ and drive!

no match to their pizza joint. don't go at lunch the service was very slow and our meals came out at different times. two people in our group had to get to go trays and eat in the car on the way back to work. my wife's jalapeño burger was good the bbq had large brisket servings probably an 8oz serving on a plate. the brisket was dry, and it was a cut off of the point and it was cut with the grain not across it. the chicken was ok and fairly moist. my friends rib play had two bones and rib tips. now the brisket was cheep i have no idea how they can sell it for $11.00 a pound. i probably will not go back and would not recommend it and that is sad because i lovebiglou's pizza b

excellent burgers. was not disappointed withbiglou's burgers. also, very appreciated that they don't have the same setup and cashiers as their pizza place.

liked the burger, loved the tots. yesterday i finally found myself with a chance to givebiglou's burgers a try. i've gone to the pizza place often and was very curious how the burgers would stack up.

i wasn't letdown. the service was quick and the staff friendly. i only ordered a cheesy lou and some tots to get the basics off the menu and i was asked if i wanted the burger homestyle. after being told what that meant and told it'd be of no extra charge i couldn't possibly say no.

the bread was heavenly and the patty was spiced just right. unfortunately i wasn't prepared for cheddar cheese being used in the burger instead of american so that did throw me off. i'm so used to burgers coming with american and there wasn't any indication (that i saw at the time) that the burger was made with cheddar.

despite that minor setback i will very likely return especially upon hearing that i can request american cheese.

(the tots were to die for. both my wife and 2 year old daughter loved them.)

owner excuses. came here to express my opinion of the place which pretty much mirrors any/all of the negative press you read here. owner blames competition down the street. owner needs to wake up and face reality. your food is marginal - cold - and your staff is as cold as the food you serve.

this is typically what happens to a restaurant that's managed by relatives who own another restaurant and that is the case here.biglou's pizza is great -biglou's burgers - abigthumbs down. house cleaning is in order forbiglou's burgers.

don't go here with a large group. first off - i agree with all of the comments about lousy tasting burgers, rude employees and surprisingly - a mgr who was more rude than the employees.

as the title says - do not show up with a group of people. they botched the orders and took forever - over an hr. before we got our food. this happened on 2 occasions - so i'm pretty much convinced this is a norm for this place.

why did i go back a 2nd time? - family gathering - not my choice. after the 2nd visit - it was decided our crew would never visitbiglou's again.

googlebiglou's burgers - you' ll find a lot of negative posts on other sites as well.

disaster. omg this place is a disaster and so fricken backwards when you show up with a large party...went tonight with an army of 17...ok i understand we were 17, but we couldn't order and pay our own tickets at the register. they tell us they have to put everyone on the same ticket so all our food can come out at the same time, or they will not know what food goes where as we get phone orders, to go orders, and the other register is also taking orders...it will get all confusing...ok so how do i pay for my meal? well you can pay how ever you want, ok. here is my cash for my order, oh we can't tell you exactly what your bill is cause it has to be added with your whole party...wth, come again...everyone must be on one ticket. so, is every single person in this place on one ticket? no. ok what is my ticket...sir the reason is again, so all your party's food can come out together...ok what ever tell me what i owe when the time comes...first person to order was last to be served. no ones food came out "together" as they described. first person got their food and ate. second person got their food and first person was done and ready to go. third person got their food first person and second person done...get where this is going....an entire hour went by and the first person to order hadn't received their food...here is $40 tell me if that covers what i ordered, sir is this $40 for part of the whole ticket? no that $40 is for what ever i ordered, please tell me what my bill is...i don't know..ok what ever take the $40 and let me know if i'm covered or not...by the way, they charged us gratuity...i don't know why? we went up to the register to order...it gets better...not the service, my feedback, but i will stop here and make 1 recommendation forbiglou...go to chris madrids and watch how they serve 100 people in line within 30 minutes and everyone pays for their order at the register, they get a buzzer, when order is ready they go get it at the counter....everybigburger place works this way....i think you need to figure out if you're a counter order place or a full service restaurant with wait staff??? oh yea, i almost forgot my brisket sandwich was good....by the way, the last 2 families in our party were allowed to pay for their own meals right after they placed their order and received their receipts...talk about still being confused. i don't know if i paid too much or you short changed yourself. i didn't get a receipt to review.....all i know you run a cluster of an operation....think continuous improvement, you may think you're efficient, but your not effective...efficiency and effective go hand in hand...all the time you tried to save forcing us all on one ticket was lost when it took 2 of your employees to do the math at our table retaking our order and doing math....remember we didn't have a receipt to do our own math. our experience was a crispy taco short of a mexican plate!!!

everything i expected (and more). the staff was friendly from the beginning! the cashier didn't hesitate to service us and was informative of the beer selection. i'm a lonestar/lonestar light type of guy but a coor's light did the trick. it was a party of 2 and our total bill came out to $30. we ordered 1/3lb cheeseburger combo, 1/2 bacon cheeseburger combo, a beer, 1/2 order of onion rings & 1/2 order of wings (i love to eat).

both burgers had a lot of flavor in them. they were cooked perfectly and i had to do guy's "the hunch" because the juice was running down my hand!

onion rings are a must however if you're a full batter type of guy/girl then these rings will not do justice. you can tell these rings are passed through the batter once or twice however their flavor makes up for the batter being flaky.

the wings had a unique flavor, you can tell the they had a special 'oriental' blend. as we ordered the wings a young lady mentioned that their sweet chili sauce was going to put the restaurant on the map........it was a miss. it tasted like bottled oriental sweet/sour sauce with chili peppers mixed in it.

the place was filled with several families, a handful of couple's and a few groups of elderly men having some good food with their beer. the atmosphere was relaxed and upbeat. our waitress (ruth or beth) was friendly and checked on us 2-3 times while we were enjoying our meal.

drinks consistently stayed filled, food was great, beer was cold, bartender was local, staff made the place andbiglou's is going to turn this side of town into a hot spot!

cons: get lonestar/lonestar light on draft or bottle, staff needs t-shirts to identify who works there (they appear as customers).

pros: great burgers, cold beer, friendly staff, awesome atmosphere

finally open.biglou's burgers and bbq has finally opened. i had a chance to have lunch there on day three. the parking lot was packed. i stopped outside to check out the menu on the wall by the front entrance. the burgers come in two sizes only, 1/4 lb and 1/2 lb. that kind of put me off since i'm a more 1/3 lb burger guy. the place is done up really nice inside with a rustic feel. they have a full bar including around 15-20 beers on tap. you can eat at the bar or sit at a table in the front dining room or in the back dining room. i sat at the bar and opted for the 1/4 burger combo with cheese. the 1/4 lb burgers are served on buns that are only about 4 inches round. it looked like a kiddie burger for $8.50 for the combo. they say the 1/2 lb burgers are served on larger buns. they are $1 more. that would put a lunch time burger meal at around $10. the burgers tasted pretty good but 1/4 is too small and 1/2 would likley be too much for me unless i'm really, really hungry. the fries were very good. the downside is they bring you the ketchup in a little plastic container rather that having the ketchup and other condiments at the table. they have bar bq also but i never saw anyone ordering it. all i saw coming out of the kitchen were the little burgers. i didn't see any smoke or smell any evidence of bbqing going on. it was only day three, perhaps the pit was not yet operational. i should have asked about that but i forgot. otherwise things were running very smoothly for being day three but i'm not suprized. this is notbiglou's first rodeo. i fully intend to go back at a future date and try the bbq and maybe the 1/2 lb burger. hopefully he gets the burger thing going better. i wish them all the best. we need a good burger joint in the neighborhood. my locally all time favorite burger is all the way across town. i was hopingbiglou's would take their place. i'm still hoping
