finally got to make it to big jim's last night (prior to playing in the pittsburgh pinball league). first thing i did was order a pizza to go (anchovies and hot peppers). the only items keeping me from rating big jim's a "5" stem from the pizza. firstly, i distinctly ordered the small, 4 cut pizza. i ended up with a pizza that i will probably still be eating from as i light the grill this coming july 4th. no biggie, but i ordered a small and got ginormous. now, granted, the pizza is really good, but there was a flub up in my order. secondly, i do not consider "banana peppers" as "hot peppers". still, overall, that was a very, very good pizza that i would try again. the antipasto salad was amazing! i know people that would balk at the $10.59 price on it. yes, that does seem high priced...until it gets to your table! then is when you realize that this should be a $15.99 salad! the onion rings did not appear to be battered in-house, but i have never let that come against me and a good onion ring (which this was). oh, and the waitress. she was an eight...
