went with friends. friendly attentive service. had the salmon with crab lentals, which was great. good choices for a diabetic.

i liked the fact that we could bring our own bottle of wine on wednesday and the music was great. we got our apps and they tasted delicious. but when the main dishes came we were unimpressed with the quality. we ordered the lamb and lobster burger as well as the butter lobster chicken. the burger was really small and the butter chicken sauce was really bland and runny. the lobster was really over done. i would go back but would only order apps and salads but would not pay $30 for mains.

yanke lands a big fish. went here for brunch on sunday, june 2nd. they had our table waiting and cold water in the glasses. awesom omelet with feta cheese, smoked salmon, and baby shrimp. rustic bread, new potatoes fried until there were crispy parts, yum. will be back.

the lamb burger. started with the mussels... gracious they were the best i've had outside the isle of newf had to get extra bread for dipping. i had the lamb/langosta burger..... the best burger i've had in a long time. it's not good as in a great beef bacon cheddar burger but it;s flavors are unique enough to really perk things up. gorgonzola...... avocado...... salsa..... effin fab mate.

tired of the same old boring brunch items? craving some fresh seafood? if so head down to big catch on the weekend for an amazing seafood brunch experience. a number of different brunch options have popped up all around edmonton trail over the last few years including arguably the most popular destination diner deluxe.

wonderful. has a great atmosphere the staff was friendly & helpful. i tried the frog legs & they do taste similar to chicken!!!! the pistachio crusted char was amazing will definitely be going back to try so other menu items.

enjoyable dining experience. doesn't look like much from the outside but definitely worth checking it out. comfortable atmosphere, especially if you wish to enjoy a nice conversation with your fellow diner/s. food was delicious and service was wonderful.

these are the best crab cakes i have ever had. they were super moist and the flavors just popped in your mouth. the citrus caper aioli danced with crab cakes and i seriously could have ate more. the lobster stuffed mushroom caps with escargot were so tasty. garlicky goodness and they don't skimp on anything here.

excellent food!. we stopped in for lunch on a wednesday, have read about big fish but never eaten there before. the decor is understated, but nice and the restaurant and loo were very clean. restaurant was about half full, waitress was very friendly and just the right kind of available for us.
i enjoyed the special of the day, chicken and crab quesadilla with a side of corn chowder soup, both were super tasty. my date had the buffalo burger with a side of yam chips. the burger was huge, made it a little messy but very good. the yam chips were the best i've had, thin and crunchy!
we both agreed we will be back!

limited lunch menu but delicious none the less. had the baked flatbread of duck confit, never quite had anything like it. i would suggest eating it here if you like a unique seafood dish. i will venture here again to try some of the other menu items. enjoy!

the service was extremely poor. our server never introduced herself and literally tossed the menus in the middle of the table and stated only, " here is the wine, you have the menu so you can read the feature and there is the menu with the other drinks. then she just walked away.
the menu items read wonderfully and had our mouths watering, the actual food however..... bland and over priced for the quality of product and taste. i don't mind paying a little more but with price my expectation goes up. the food was very bland, lentils were very undercooked and the fish was tasteless and dry. we would have sent our food back but our server never came back after dropping off our meals (there were hardly any other customers).

always i great bet when your craving a nice seafood dinner. service can be a little hit and miss, but the food never disappoints.

best breakfast place!. oh my goodness.

house-made jams? seasonal foods? honest-to-goodness real maritime chowder? i'm in heaven here. it's a touch expensive, admittedly, but the food is not over-priced. you can get away with skipping the big wallet-crunchers, and it'll cost you about as much as diner deluxe down the street, but the food will be at least two notches higher. this is my favourite breakfast place, and seems like a decently well-kept calgary secret so far.
