best pizza in town. definitely the best pizza your money can buy in spokane. amazing combinations of flavors and fresh, organic ingredients, greatbeerselection. the only complaint is that it's always crazy busy. other reviewers have said about bad or slow service, but they neglect to say it's because the servers are so busy with a packed house every night of the week.

i wanted to like this place, but unfortunately went away thinking that i have had better pizza at other places, yes, better than most chains (but not all).

first, to me the two most important parts of a pizza is the dough and the sauce. here, they add butter to the flour mix - which is fine if you want more of a "biscuit" texture but it wasn't quite what i had in mind as a pizza crust. the tomato base was hardly even noticed and that was the bigger disappointment. i didn't taste that tomatoey flavor fused with oregano and thyme, etc. and, secondly, i have always found that most "italian" foods - pizza, lasagna, etc. - seem even better the next day, right? you know, the various herbs and spices seem to blend in more after being cooked/baked. no, this wasn't any better.

the "pub" quality was nice, the server was attentive - but, no reason to come back.  i think the higher rating noted is because of the quantity/quality ofbeerserved - that's good, but i wanted a good pizza, too.

holy crappy service batman!. i don't live far from here, and i've probably been here 20+ times, and i still feel like i'm treated like crap everytime. with a town as small as spokane, good customer service should be king, but for a long time i've seen bad customer service reviews on here and other sites, plus the fact none of my friends will go there anymore because of the (lack of) service. not sure when the owners will pick up on that, or maybe they just don't care? either way it doesn't matter because i'll never go back. it's too bad because theirbeerbuddies are awesome.

ahhh benni's. i grew up on this pizza and there is absolutely nothing that i don't like about this place. my favorite pizza ever is the double pepperoni. their salads are very tasty, the subs are good, thebeerbuddies are freakin fantastic! the atmosphere is one of the best in spokane. one of my favorite things about benni's is thebeerselection and that they give you a full 20oz pint for the usual price of a 16oz pint. they apparently have great relationships with the local breweries and love putting their beers on tap. the newest brewery in town is the iron goat and they were the first place to have theirbeeron tap (their ipa is really good btw). they have more or less established that they don't have great service but not for the lack of ability of their servers who are very nice in my experience. it's just that they spread them really thin. i've heard people say they will never go back because they were treated poorly and the servers were rude. i don't know what to say because i have never experienced this, but don't go in expecting top notch service on a busy night. overall i think this is an excellent spot! happy dinning!

worth the drive .... on a whim, we decided to drive to spokane in search of some real pizza (sadly, moscow lacks authentic new york style pizza). with about 90 pizza places, how to choose? we checked out urbanspoon, read the reviews and settled on bennidito's. it was easy to find, though parking was a bit tight (which is sometimes a good sign). the place was packed, loud and full of energy. tables of families, some with friends, and others just couples...all eating, drinking and enjoying themselves. we were greeted promptly and within minutes were sipping a cold seattle microbrew. we didn't have time for more than one brew, though their selection sure tempted us to stick around (a reason to return). it didn't take long to choose a pizza - goat cheese, kalamata olives, fresh tomatoes and roasted garlic cloves! the crust was perfectly light, the white sauce a great compliment to the toppings, leaving one filled but not heavy after eating it. the medium size was just right for 3 adults. we will definitely eat here again and would highly recommend it to anyone else out there in search of perfect gourmet pizza along with an incrediblebeerselection to wash it down with.

best pesto pizza!. this is one of my favorite pizza joints. the service is always friendly and you can watch the staff making your (and other people's) pizzas. they have a variety ofbeerthat changes every time i'm there. the food is delicious. i like that they have combinations for pizza toppings instead of the boring toppings that you see at every chain pizza place. i recommend their cheese garlic bread. the bread tastes like it was baked in the last 24 hours. the cheese is so cheesy that it keeps extending into that long string as you keep distancing your food, hoping it will break at some point. and of course, best marinara sauce i have had in this city.

excellent pizza. my wife and i were invited out for pizza andbeerlast friday, the 18th, at bennidito's, a first for us. i was sure we would be leaving without dining given all of the negative ink posted here. we arrived at 5:45 and the place was full. good indicator. if a plce is empty on a friday night, i'm not dining there. there was a short wait for a table but acceptable. not the cleanest place in town but so what, certainly not the dirtiest either. i don't think the service was slow so much as maybe understaffed. perhaps someone didn't show because of the weather. everyone was in high gear and working very efficiently, no chit-chat or waiting for the undecisive to make up their minds.
the pizza selection is impressive. i was there for pizza so anything else on the menu was moot. beverage sevice was quick, explanations of menu items were thorough and the pizza arrived in a veery timely manner. the pizza is excellent, even the one that had no meat! the only negative i can offer is that the print on the new menus is very small and the layout offers little contrast so they are hard to read.
i would certainly have no hesitations taking out of town guests here.

pizza snobs loved benditos. living in seatlle, plus being able to travel to italy... definetly pizza spoiled. just in our neighborhood there are over 10 pizza places within a few blocks in a small beach community. on a road trip with the dog, dropped in to urban canine (dog & cat lovers best place-owner deb know her stuff), somehow started talking pizza. deb told us we had to go there-checked out the reviews....perfect except the whiningbeerboys. we were swiftly welcomed, swiftly seated, got our beverages asap and gently warned the pizza was big by recommended only a small salad for us to share as a couple. it was whoa! understatement, pizza was h-u-g-e. packed on with toppings, no not burnt or oily like a review we saw....it was magnificent. topped with fresh cheese, veggies, whole roasted garlic and loads of sundriesd tomatoes and tons of olives. my big guy barely had 2 pieces..a norm is most of the pizza. for breakfast, even better and we still have enough for two more days. if your looking for quiet, not the place yo be. loud music and about 9 the staff starts belting and even sreeching as sing alongside to the music. just sit outside if free entertainment is not your gig. score is a 10 for pizza and 5 for the vocal chords.

inconsistent but last visit was good. updated mar 2012: well we gave them another go and it was great! thank goodness! i would hate having to quit going. let's hope they continue the good work.

we used to love bennidito's; however, we have had very inconsistent quality the last few times we've gone. the last two times that we've hadbeerbuddies, they were so dry the cheese wouldn't even stick to them and they have been totally overcooked. in fact, the last time they were very dark brown (nearing black on some). our pizza the last two times has also been overcooked. in fact, our last pizza was burned so bad we didn't finish it and we complained.

we will give them another go, but if it doesn't change i don't think we will be back. this will be sad because we love the environment and normally we love the food and service.

just keeps going downhill. i live within walking distance, but because of the horrible service and inconsistency of the food, i never eat here anymore.

the last time i went i ordered a pizza to go and had abeerwith a friend while we waited for the pizza. 45 minutes later we were still sitting there with our empty glasses. i went to pay for the beers and was going to leave without pizza, but when i went to pay the gave me my pizza which had been sitting on the counter for about 15 minutes!!

i have also had under cookedbeerbuddies on more than one occasion and over oily pizza.

i have had some great pizza from this joint, but the frustration and inconsistency is just not worth it anymore!

goodbeerbuddies , bad service.. the one redeeming quality of bennidito's is the amazingbeerbuddies, however the staff is unfriendly and slow! they fail to have enough staff working at one time to attend to everyone, and frankly at most times there is only one person waiting tables on even the busiest nights. this frustrates me to the core. additionally, why the f are their slices so large?? it simply doesn't make sense. this restaurant is way too overrated in spokane. try davids or south perry pizza.
the blonde waitress with the large bust and the owner are very rude. avoid them!

your kidding me right!!!!. benniditio's is loved by the spokane crowd; they even won the inlander's best pizza award this year. so we decided that we would stroll around manito park and then try them out for a casual pizza dinner.

we started off with the much raved aboutbeerbuddies - plain pizza dough cut into small bite-sized sections, brushed with butter (i was told it was olive oil, but we all agreed that it was butter, there were butter fat solids plainly vissible) and topped with commercial parmesan cheese (think kraft in a can cheese). the concept is good; but the dough, the highlight of the appetizer was tasteless. we had 2 hungry teenagers and two adults present when this appetizer arrived, it did not get finished, we each ate about 1 or 2 and kind of shrugged our shoulders. the only flavor outside of fat, and salt from the commercial cheese came from the sauces. we figured they were calledbeerbuddies because after about 5 beers you just don't care what you eat.

for dinner we had one salad two medium pizzas, one calzone and a salad.

we will start off with the extreme culinary disaster - the calzone was the worst calzone everyone at the table had ever had. that's bad. it was made horribly and looked terrible, overcooked crust, paper thin on the top while soggy and undercooked on the bottom. the appearance of it was a turnoff, but looks can be deceiving. in this case though, they weren't. the flavors inside were just off, we all tried one bite and we all pushed it to the back of the table - yuck.

the pizza that i and the oldest teenager were eagerly awaiting for was the benniditos original pesto. i am a pesto fanatic, many times just eating my home-made pesto on crackers for a snack. ever have basil ice cream - yum i love it. i make pesto pizzas all the time at home, pure delight. but what arrived at our table resembled more like the exxon valdez oil tanker disaster. my wife's comment was "that's sick, you guys aren't going to eat that are you?"

the pesto they used appeared to be mostly oil so the whole pie was covered in a layer of unappetizing green olive oil, when we removed the first slice it was like breaking a dam. the oil came cascading off the pizza to fill the now vacant slice area. it took about 12-15 napkins to soak up half the oil but the damage had been done because the bottom of the pizza crust had soaked up the other half.

the excessive oil had ruined this pie, it wasn't finished by us, you could only take 1 or 2 slices of this heart attack on a plate pie, however it had potential, i liked the addition of the ricotta cheese on it although nobody could pick out the flavor of fontina, i think the oil and pest overpowered it.

the only pizza that got devoured was the mowie wowie, in this case the fontina cheese was very prevalent and a great addition, i also make my hawaiian style pizza with prosciutto, the saltiness of the ham compliments the sweetness of the pineapple very well. the only problem with this pizza was the tasteless dough that had a large amount of raw flour caked onto the bottom. when we were there all pizzas were rolled and but not hand tossed. hand tossing helps to knock off any excess flour, then the oven floor should be dusted with cornmeal to prevent sticking in the oven, there was no cornmeal evident on our pizzas, hence why they use the flour, but that is wrong.

the highlight of the meal was the salad, which was a good size and value for the money. lots of fresh greens and toppings and they did have a nice selection ofbeeron tap. and a special shout out does go to the server there, they were very busy while we were there and she was handling the whole restaurant by herself and doing a great job.

in the end we left with an uneaten calzone, somebeerbuddies and half of a medium pesto pizza, we stopped by an ice cream store for dessert and when we got home the boys cooked themselves some more dinner.

the moral of the story is, if pizza and calzones go uneaten by teenagers you know you have problems.

ps if you ever find you self up on the north side and hankering for some pizza, try fat daddy's, the best pizza in spokane.

used to love it; i've given up.. when we moved to spokane about 7 years ago, we were so happy to discover a locally owned neighborhood pizza joint with a great atmosphere and goodbeeron tap that we can ride our bikes to. we've eaten there or ordered take-out at least once a week for the past 7 years.

the pizza can be really great, but if you get it delivered, check it before the driver leaves because chances are good your order will be wrong. on more than one occassion my order has been lost entirely. the breadsticks are almost alwasy doughy and uncooked inside. last time we were there our pizza was almost inedible: the toppings (same pizza we always order) were just weird tasting; they must've changed to a cheaper brand of canned ingredients. blech.

other people complain about the service but honestly, that's about the only reason we keep going. chelsea is wonderful and so is the blond gal. in my experience, the servers bust their a**es.

i want to love and support benneditos, i really do. but they are just way, way too inconsistent. i can't keep pouring my money into this business hoping it gets better. we're switching to south perry pizza.
