i am forever recommending bennets. since bennets first opened i have been a customer.
i am a snowbird from canada. what attracted me to bennets, is that they roast their own coffee beans.
i haven't noticed that mentioned here but coffee, good, nogreatcoffee, is most important to me. it is not so often, so it seems to me, that in the south of the u.s. you findgreatcoffee roasters. an owner who spends the money and time to purchasegreatbeans, and carefully very carefully roasts the bean, to perfection. so it seems to me.
the original location is so smart looking. yet cozy and welcoming you could be in a cafe in europe even it looks so smart and smellsgreatwhen you walk in.
the, there are the donuts and yes people rave about the donuts. theya re much to yummy. had a brother of mine down this past week from canada and always first thing off the plane he wants to go to bennets so you can tell my family are really sold.
well now there is a new location out on sanibel went there this week, and it is bigger and lots of parking and samegreatdonuts and coffee, but to me, i won't go out there again. not the same feel , the just welcoming easy feeling, that i do feel each time i am in the original location
i have never had their iced coffee that someone mentioned but comparing bennets to dunin donuts is just of no comparison in my opinion and some people wrote of slower service, and the place was messy etc. that is not the normal. is always orderly and clean, except on the occasion, as is on weekends, especially, when there are line ups out the door. the staff i find to be trendous, very pleasant and calm and respectful of their jobs and their customers. guess i just can't say enough about bennets.

lover of coffee. went with our friends that moved here from sc and told them about all thegreatreviews bennetts had but we were so disappointed when we were there. the food wasgreatbut the service was terrible. it seemed the cook only knew what he was doing. the coffee station didn't have creamer or milk and was a mess. needs better management. don't think we will go back to bennetts.

best donuts in fort myers.greatspot whether you're a tourist or a local! we went early on a sunday and there was no line, but there was definitely one forming when we left at 8:30 so get there early!!
all of the donuts look amazing, but of the four we got my favorites were definitely the chocolate peanut butter and caramel toffee crunch...next time we'll probably only get one each because they're big! try it if you're in the area!

the best doughnuts anywhere. can be found here. excellent breakfasts; from their breakfast strata (a layered breakfast casserole), breakfast sandwiches, or perhaps a bowl of oatmeal. lunch offerings are varied and spectacularly executed - even a chicken salad sandwich has a gourmet feel. wine and cheese tasting nights round out the bennett's experience. with an top-notch staff andgreatlaid-back atmosphere, bennett's is the "must do" for anyone visiting. so i recommend doing what all the locals do - coming early (and often) to this eatery near the heart of downtown ft. myers and remember why it's worth getting out of bed in the morning.

great place. i love this place. i read an earlier review from someone griping about the doughnuts and his coffee being too dark. i am a weekly customer since they opened and their donuts are as good as they've always had and their coffee has flavor. (i like mine dark roast). nice personnel,greatstuff. it doesn't get any better than this.

great little place. i shouldn't say little, cause it's actually a decent sized stand-alone place. but the coffee i had wasgreatas well as the breakfast sandwich. staff was nice and the place seemed to have a number of regulars.

best local donuts!.greatcoffee roasted in house. you won't find any french vanilla lattes, or orange mocha frappiccinos, however, they feel flavors are an insult to the coffee. after you try a cup, you might just agree.

donuts are fabulous, too. get there early, buy a dozen, and try a slice of strata. i'd describe their strata like a savory bread pudding. creamy, eggy, made with high quality ingredients and flavored just right with vegetables and cheese.

i love when i visit a restaurant and they are passionate about what they do. the owner of bennetts and his employees will brag about the potato-based donut recipe they use, the superior way they make and store the coffee for peak freshness, as well as their other offerings.

i can't stress enough to try the boston creme. this is a donut i never liked because of the gross, weird cold pudding in the middle... until i tried bennett's. their version holds a rich and thick cream unlike any other in the center of a chocolate donut. if you just don't like cream, at least try a chocolate or maple walnut. those are my other top picks. the chocolate they use is good quality and never tastes "watered down."

i just discovered bennett's fresh roast when a friend took me there for coffee, it is a quaint little coffee house in the river district. they have the best homemade donuts, i also liked their breakfast sandwich. coffee wasgreatbut they were out of half and half so i had to settle with milk. i could have asked for some but didn't bother. loved the atmosphere, totally reccommend this place.
