steak & eggs. "two eggs any style served with a six ounce tenderloin filet with your choice of toast."
you can't go wrong with benji's breakfasts. this steak was perfectly cooked (as were the eggs) and very tender. it smelled pretty good too. my dining companion finished every morsel on this plate.

grilled chicken caesar salad. "six ounce grilled chicken breast served over fresh tossed greens. may substitute turkey at no extra charge."
benji's salads are always fresh and clearly made to order. greens are crisp and the chicken is nicely seared, slightly charred from the grill with great flavor-no marinade that i can detect. i also recommend benji's cobb salad.

a neighborhood favorite. i understand benji's has been around forever (my husband worked there a longtimeago, when he was in high school) and i can see why. fantastic corned beef and chopped liver, hearty chicken & matzo ball soups, great service (we love mirka) and a classic deli atmosphere with regulars and all. we've eaten many breakfasts lunches and dinners here, and we keep going back for more - even after we moved out of the neighborhood. long live benji's!
