benji's delicatessen

the meat is really juicy and cut thick, but entirely too salty.. and the chips don't add much but more salt. i've had much better and much worse, middle of the road corned beef.

benjis' shorewood store is a great neighborhood spot. great breakfast, lunch and dinner. milwaukee-sized portions, friendly staff and good food. reliable! super hopple popple

...along with the kraut and swiss, it’s a heck of a sandwich. the rye is toasted, adding a layer of texture that takes the flavors to an even higher level.

over priced and way too salty... no real spice flavor... try the other corned beef place...so much better

everything. what's not to love at benji's? been eating here since the 80's and love it every single time. excellent chicken soup, great breakfasts and the sandwiches are fantastic.

the best jewish deli outside of nyc!!. consistently the best. a must for visitors. old school charm and fun. what else can you say but great, great, great!

you can't go wrong here. everything is great!

i instead opted for the hear-o-israel, and it was every bit as glorious as it appeared to be on tv.

steak & eggs. "two eggs any style served with a six ounce tenderloin filet with your choice of toast."

you can't go wrong with benji's breakfasts. this steak was perfectly cooked (as were the eggs) and very tender. it smelled pretty good too. my dining companion finished every morsel on this plate.

grilled chicken caesar salad. "six ounce grilled chicken breast served over fresh tossed greens. may substitute turkey at no extra charge."

benji's salads are always fresh and clearly made to order. greens are crisp and the chicken is nicely seared, slightly charred from the grill with great flavor-no marinade that i can detect. i also recommend benji's cobb salad.

a neighborhood favorite. i understand benji's has been around forever (my husband worked there a long time ago, when he was in high school) and i can see why. fantastic corned beef and chopped liver, hearty chicken & matzo ball soups, great service (we love mirka) and a classic deli atmosphere with regulars and all. we've eaten many breakfasts lunches and dinners here, and we keep going back for more - even after we moved out of the neighborhood. long live benji's!

hoppel poppel!. a benji's classic.

i was watching the food network the other day (because i don't have enough to fill my time with as it is...), and the show they were running was something along the lines of, "the best thing i've ever eaten." this skinny, kinda witchy looking brunette who

powerful soup. this is my favorite deli in milwaukee. i have never had a bad sandwich there and the matzo ball soup has healing properties. every time i am sick, my husband runs out and gets me a bowl - i don't know what i would do without it.

a shorewood staple. i've been going to benji's for years and it's consistently good...no it's great. the lunch is the best around. they have amazing reubens piled high with homemade rye bread. oh, the carraway rye bread is so good. i always get their matzo ball soup with my sandwich as well as fries and a sprecher rootbeer. sooo good.

meh. nothing really special about this deli, the prices on their sandwhiches are a little pricey
