sugar rush kind of afternoon with my friend! went at becky's to grab any sweets. she recommended it to me since it's her all time fave bakeshop! we were able to eat lemon squares, fudge brownies, walnut fudge bars, prune walnut cupcake and a slice of swiss chocolate cake! i love all of them from my first try! it was all delicious, not that sweet and not "nakakaumay". the price was so affordable! truly worth every penny!

food: 5/5
location: 3/5ambiance: 3/5
will recommend: yes

becky's kitchen is unassuming with its old ancestral house vibe in this malate neighborhood. it's one of the best places to get you sweet goodies from fudge brownies, food for the gods, caramel cake and swiss chocolate cakes.

becky's is cool when you just need to take home some sweets 'coz street parking is easy and quick. there's always a security guard to assist you. and they're open early in the morning.

i just wonder if there are any becky in the kitchen. joke!

went here around 7pm and thebplace was still packed with quite a number of customers . it was my first time here so i had to try the swiss chocolate cake.
the cake itself was good however if youre not a fan of sweets which i am not, this is not for you. the toffee is too sweet.

all i can say is that there should be a law against food this good, my expanding waistline says so. man, the foods in this place is something else. i had a bite of their french apple pie and it was glorious. one of the best apple pies i ever tasted. i also had their caramel cake. it was as spot on as can be. the flavors, and everything were awesome.

becky's is a quaint little bakeshop near st. scho. its humble ambience is reminiscent of a grandmother's house - welcoming and filled with delectable baked goodies.

my family has been frequenting becky's kitchen since i was a kid. their brownies are the best commercial brownies i've ever had. its delicately soft and chewy, mouthwateringly moist and fudgy texture really wins me over. although some people have preferences against the nutty toppings, its flavour and texture clearly sets it apart from other brownies. i've also had their just as moist and utterly delicious chocolate cupcakes which i absolutely adore just the same.

my mother and my friends have quickly become fans of their heavenly blueberry cheesecake. its well-balanced topping to cheesecake ratio makes them exclaim in delight. every single layer of the cake is just perfectly flavoured and textured - the cheesecake layer smooth, the graham bottom crumbly, and the topping juicy. no flavour or portion too overpowering. everything is just a perfect balance of each other. this cake with its harmonious blend of flavours is definitely - as my good friend would describe it - "mouthgasmic".

i've had their caramel cake once for a friend's birthday. it was also utterly delicious and well-made.

the blueberry cheesecake, the chocolate cupcakes, and the brownies are highly reccomendable and best served chilled. then again, i have not eaten anything i did not enjoy from becky's kitchen so do feel free to try everything out because i know i would! it's nothing too pricey or fancy but it definitely is worth every penny.

one of my favorite bakeshops in the city! so happy it's near my school so i can easily go here when my sweet tooth cravings are acting up. must try: brownies, lemon squares, food for the gods and the swiss chocolate cake. becky's never fails to satisfy, everything's so freshly baked and you'll know it's all made with love. no wonder this place is always packed!

popular in the busy street of vito cruz is becky's kitchen. well known for their brownies and cakes, becky's is usually busy on weekends and special occasions. i like their food for the gods, cherry walnut brownies, potato crunch cake, walnut prune cake, black forrest. have yet to try their other cakes but if i were to choose only one then it would be the walnut prune cake.

becky's kitchen is another popular choice for cakes and pastries. this place is located near st. scholastica's college. this place is closed during mondays. best-sellers here are the brownies, potato cakes and the prune walnut cake. i'm not into prunes but i love the prune walnut cakes here.

update/edit (11/24/15) finally uploaded a photo!

i only tried their swiss chocolate which we gave to our friend for her 19th birthday. the cake is big for p465. we were seven when we ate it and there was still almost a half part of the cake left. at first, i thought the cake was too sweet. but as i tried the second bite, it is really good! especially the meringue inside the cake. it goes together with its icing. i would love to try their brownies! because my friends told me it is the best. i wasn't able to take a decent photo of the cake. i will upload soon!

one of the best bakeries i know of. their cakes are on the top of my favorites. sad thing though, that they only have two branches, and their branch near taft doesn't have a 'dine in' feature.

their cakes and pastries are so good, you'll be shocked that their not that pricey! a very good value for money!

my personal favorites are:
swiss chocolate cake - although i wouldnt recommend it if you don't like sweets
caramel cake - subtle but delicious
lemon squares - one of the best in town

becky's kitchen is one of my top choices when it comes to cakes. it's located a few blocks away from st. scholastica. must try and highly recommended cakes here are the prune walnut cake, potato almond crunch cake and sans rival. back in college days, we would often buy cakes here. the brownies here are also good.

used to buy cakes from them every so often, but now i think the quality of their cakes have deteriorated. my favorites were the swiss chocolate cake and the caramel cake. but now i think they've become dry, they're not moist like before anymore. though their brownies are still ok, but i cannot bring myself to buy my two favorite cakes anymore.
