unable to trim the abundant options to fewer than three, even after full descriptions and suggestions from the staff, it was eventually in two rounds of food that the meal took place and with each plate carrying a $10.95 charge and take-home boxes already in hand the tasting kicked off with a duo; the “uh-oh oreo” pancakes proving doughy and underwhelming as toppings were relegated to only the top cake while two thick wedges of custard-soaked yet crunchyfrenchtoast fared far better beneath steamy stonefruit and whipped cream – a combination making the artificial maple syrup entirely unnecessary as house-blended cinnamon-honey better slowly melted into a tan, fragrant stream.

pancake lover. i am breaking my silence today by writing my first restaurant review for bea bea's restaurant. what credentials do i have you ask? none except for my love of good food, good people and good times. i will never let a bad experience drive a review, nor will i visit a place once and review it. i have read many a reviewer praise this place as well as warn people to never come here. despite what you have read, if you pass this place up, you will deny yourself an opportunity for an amazing breakfast experience. granted over the years the following for this place has grown immensely and it can become crowded rather quickly. but i would suggest that it is because they are doing some great things there. i frequent this place now for the pancakes. i love them. to be specific, i love a regular stack of cakes with the cinnamon honey butter. i could eat them just like that without syrup. but just to be indulgent i add some syrup, which is standard syrup for a restaurant. many of the dishes have great flavor combinations such as robin's benedict and the omgfrenchtoast. to my recollection i have never had bad service, or a bad hot beverage served cold. the lunch menu has many great choices as well. the portions are nice and many of the dishes could be shared. not a place i could afford to eat at daily, but i couldn't afford to eat fast food daily either. you're looking at about $10-20 per person depending on beverage choice and any extras you might order. the place is family and kid friendly. and you can expect that when visiting the restaurant. as is the case with any place i review, i will visit it multiple times so i can give it a good well rounded opinion. it is this reviewers opinion that bea bea's is a great place to eat, wonderful food choices and combinations. i would recommend it without reservation.

fantastic...and crowded. i was staying across the street in the hotel amaro and wanted a convenient, close by breakfast. this restaurant is in a shopping center building almost lost among the other businesses. it was certainly convenient, but was it any good? the answer is a resounding, yes! as i walked in the door, i realized something was up as the place was packed. i was immediately acknowledged and informed that there was one seat open at the end of the counter. i took it. the menu is extensive including stuffedfrenchtoast made with king's hawaiian bread. now that's special! i had a "standard" breakfast of eggs, bacon and hash browns and it was fantastic. this would become my favorite place in burbank if i didn't live in albuquerque. obviously, based on the packed tables, others have recognized this place as great. if you find yourself in burbank, do yourself a favor and give it a try. even if you don't live in burbank, this place deserves a drive of 50 miles. hey, no one walks in la anyway, right?
