staying at courtyard marriott we decided to try thisrestaurantwhich is very elegantly designed and has nice ambience... the food is fine but spicy and the service needs to be quick... seems to be a very popularrestaurantamongst locals and almost full on weekdays... we tried the silver set menu decently priced and had lots of staters and main dishes.. a few of them already clicked.... when in bhopal a must try indian restaurant. the breads are not as nice they could be andrestaurantshould improve on it

went here last night with family. thisrestaurantis conveniently located besides db mall in marriott courtyard on 4th floor. the place had outdoor and indoor seating. we chose indoor as it had rained just before and it was humid outside. we went for a full veggie options. for starters we ordered potato cheese and chilly galette and makkai aur khoye ki seekh with few drinks. for mains we ordered cheese qasar e pukhtan and daal makhni with few selections of indian bread. while the starters were just about alright, main course was much better(we were on the non spicier side of menu). slightly heavy on pocket for 5000 rs but one of us had alcohol so not complaining too much.

food was good (not exceptional considering the pricing). loved makai malai kebab in the veg starters. non veg starters are also on point. biryani and a couple of other stuffs in the main course is not authentic, considering that people come to this amazingrestaurantto enjoy the best food in the city. ambience needs to improve a lot.
overall experience was good.

if you are looking for an intimate, elegant fine diningrestaurantlook no further than bay leaf. they are setting up an nice example in field of hospitality with the help of their ambience,food and staff.
their menu was a nice blend of experiment and comfort food. and they can cook all of it wonderfully; be it daily food like chaunk ki daal or any dessert like shahi tukda.
quantity of food was also enough.
staff of bay leaf was really courteous.
to top our experience,the chef himself came out to ask us how was our experience.

personal recommendation: chaunk ki daal.

it’s one of the popular business hotels in the city of bhopal and notably this place is a go to for mughlai, northern and indian food serving some good paneer and chicken varieties but what also did strike of this place was good green and red thai curry with the right ingredients made like say a typical thai specialityrestaurantand with a bowl of steamed rice it’s perfect for a lunch!
wouldn’t recommend in any special sweet dish but the ones made here with coconut are worth a try too!

this was our second visit to bayleaf. on our first we had thai red curry veggies with steamed rice and it was very perfect and authentic as expected.

now this time we wanted to try their kebabs. since we were only two people we wanted to order the veg kebab platter for the two of us so we could enjoy more variety. however, unfortunately they have changed their menu and this was not on their menu anymore. we requested the waiter for the platter and the chef came to us and agreed to give us a platter with the choice of kebabs. all the kebabs had a different flavour to them and they were the most delectable kebabs i have had till date. the chef also served ulte tawa ki roti which was savoured with the galaouti kebabs which were very good. the kebabs were so good that i didn't feel the need to have chutney alongside.

we also ordered veg biryani which was served with raita. the biryani was good as well.

all in all a delightful experience.
special thanks to the chef for going an extra mile for their guests.

coming to bhopal for work is not so pleasant as have not much things to do apart from work. i am always put up in mp nagar right next to the only mall of bhopal (i guess). this time decided not to eat in the mall and try the bayleafrestaurantof cy marriott bhopal. so we landed there last evening for dinner. therestauranthas an option of both indoor and outdoor dining with a mixed menu. they have a coffee shop already which primarily serves buffet. therestaurantambience is soothing with soft indian & bollywood music playing. the set up is more of fine dining with candles and wine glasses on the table, but we hardly noticed anyone having wine. there were hardly couple of tables anyways, due to a weekday and on going navratri festival. however they are serving navratri special thali for dinner for those observing the fast. the menu was elaborate with indian, chinese and western choices. i had been craving for authentic pesto pasta for long so opted for it the moment i saw it on the menu. my colleague opted for safe and trusted dal makhani and naan. we also tried mushroom gilawat kebab for starters. the good was above expectations except the pasta which was dry and was more of aglio olio with basil. when enquired the server readily offered to make it as per my requirement, but i decided against. the service was impeccable and attentive. special mention for ashok who looked after us really well. his suggestion of mango colada drink was thoughtful and i really liked it. definately coming back again when i am in bhopal next.

it's absolutely an averagerestaurantfor the north indian cusine.
people who go to marriott for a good dinner should avoid thisrestaurantand try some other international cuisine of countryard hotel.
i was shocked by a dirty plate, that was exchanged after complain. below average service of therestaurantwhere they were not listening about their orders properly. even roadside dhaba listens better and do service faster.
dishes were not having any good dressing or presentation as you can see.
taste was quite average as well. malai kofta was having over use of cardamom spice.
dal makhni was yummy.
pindi chana was not upto the mark as expected.
naans and kulchas were great.
ambiance and lightening was beautiful and well designed.

extremely satisfying, the food served over here is the best in town the perfect specailityrestaurantin the city offers you a perfectly selected indian dishes coming over here for once nobody can go any otherrestaurant, therestauranthas a impeccable theme , we had mughlai chatka,mutton biryani and some more . the staff is very good ,they know how to make their guest delighted .one should give a chance to therestaurantthey are the best in town surely will come again :) :)

good embiance but food really sorry to say worst food i ever had paneer tikka was like just eating a block of paneer tastless
ordered pasta which was ok and asked the waiter for parmesan cheese they refused not available when suggested him go and ask chef he came with the answer there is block so i have ask him ok crush it and bring after that we decided not to try anything else and we walked out and accross the street we tried swaadrestaurantthat was excelent.
marriott guys pls pay attention. ..

just visited therestauranton a quiet november evening and had a great time. food was of high quality and at a reasonable price, we enjoyed a kebab starter, butter chicken red curry .. this is very beautiful place .. staff is very good and politely .  service is tooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good .... delicious place to enjoy..

therestaurantis good in terms of ambiance and service. but the food has improved from pathetic to bearable. not worth the money.

but! the deserts are worth anything... period.

went for a light dinner at thisrestauranthoused inside the db mall . marriott has done a good job in terms of creating the right kind of ambience for a relaxed outing . they have created interesting menu - called ' progressive indian'. basically fusion of indian food western food. for example - they had this delicious. paneer served in a 'missi roti' roll. truest innovative . i could not try all the items but idea seems to be interesting,
service was ok. a bit expensive. try it out when you are in bhopal.

newly openedrestaurantin marriott premise. good ambience with some good good. their fusion makes it even better. almost all the items are quite good.
