was impressed with the staff, they are very friendly and helpful.. the service was excellent.

staying at courtyard marriott we decided to try this restaurant which is very elegantly designed and has nice ambience... thefoodis fine but spicy and the service needs to be quick... seems to be a very popular restaurant amongst locals and almost full on weekdays... we tried the silver set menu decently priced and had lots of staters and main dishes.. a few of them already clicked.... when in bhopal a must try indian restaurant. the breads are not as nice they could be and restaurant should improve on it

an absolute fine-dine experience. thefoodis very well- prepared and presented, beverages are visually appealing and up to mark. service is impeccable, as is the ambience and décor. it's one of a kind for bhopal.

food was good (not exceptional considering the pricing). loved makai malai kebab in the veg starters. non veg starters are also on point. biryani and a couple of other stuffs in the main course is not authentic, considering that people come to this amazing restaurant to enjoy the bestfoodin the city. ambience needs to improve a lot.
overall experience was good.

this is a place i have been for my post engagement dinner and what do i say the staff is very polite...thefoodis awesome..do try their moong daal halwa..it’s a place you can look up to whenever you want..

if you are looking for an intimate, elegant fine dining restaurant look no further than bay leaf. they are setting up an nice example in field of hospitality with the help of their ambience,food and staff.
their menu was a nice blend of experiment and comfort food. and they can cook all of it wonderfully; be it dailyfoodlike chaunk ki daal or any dessert like shahi tukda.
quantity offoodwas also enough.
staff of bay leaf was really courteous.
to top our experience,the chef himself came out to ask us how was our experience.

personal recommendation: chaunk ki daal.

get the murg handi korma. the best gravy based chicken i had in bhopal. whoever made it, you ma’am/sir are a genius. the place is boring though, they need better lighting. it looks depressing. staff is nice,foodis great. serving size is a joke. you need two of everything. or better yet eat before you come here.

not a place for vegetarians.foodquality is good but preparation is not as described in the menu or say the standard one. it is not expected atleast at marriot. they should serve and behave in accordance to their reputation world wide.

do visit this place if you haven't. it has amazingfoodwith an amazing ambience. the staff is so polite and warm. i love this place.

bay leaf has one of the tastiestfoodyou can have in bhopal. especially the dal makhani..it’s awesome! i can say it may be the best dal makhani you will ever have.

nice ambience butfoodis ok not too good not too bad...
service is also ok..but not excellent i had tom yum soup,paneer tikka,khada palak,spaghetti pasta n shahi tukda...i like only shahi tukda.....but i guess they should work on menu again....

it’s one of the popular business hotels in the city of bhopal and notably this place is a go to for mughlai, northern and indianfoodserving some good paneer and chicken varieties but what also did strike of this place was good green and red thai curry with the right ingredients made like say a typical thai speciality restaurant and with a bowl of steamed rice it’s perfect for a lunch!
wouldn’t recommend in any special sweet dish but the ones made here with coconut are worth a try too!

had a bit high expectations for this place than what it is! i found the seating to be too officious (especially for couples)... certainly one can't relax while having a meal...nearby tables are right in your face. thankfully they provided us an outdoor seating...that was a breather hah! nothing outstanding on the menu except certain names.foodwas a disappointment. though the staff was courteous and honest enough to hint that things are not that promising and they are 'trying' to improve. long way to go bayleaf...

one of the many places in bhopal offering a fine dining experience, bay leaf offers an indoor as well as outdoor sitting for those who want to enjoy the natural breeze. 

ambience: 4 (there was live music being played in the outdoor section)
service: 4 (the staff is attentive to your tastes and suggestive of what can be ordered)
food: 4 (the vegfoodwas outstanding as compared to the non veg dishes)

note that the menu on zomato is not updated and also make sure that you make a reservation to avoid any hassle as this place gets full easily. 

what i ordered: 

afghani chicken kebabs: there were 5 kebab servings in one portion, kebabs were soft and delectable, served with traditional mint chutney. 

paneer tikka: the vegetarian dishes outperformed and so did the panner tikka, it was soft and fresh and melted in mouth. 

lamb galouti kebab: the kebabs were extremely soft however since they were deep fried, i could feel excess oil with every bite. i have had galouti kebabs at many other restaurants however it did not taste upto my expectations at bay leaf. 

mutton rara: the mutton was well cooked, gravy was made of minced mutton and tomato paste, overall a good dish. 

dal makhani: this was the star dish of the night, popular among people who visit very often. the dal had a hint of sweetness however it still managed to make me forget the lamb and chicken and finish my meal with this dish. a highly recommended must have when dining at bay leaf!

breads: we ordered lachha parantha which was a little heavy and pudina parantha which was crisp and fresh. 

overall a good experience.
