ausgezeichnet!. i've been coming to bavarian grill before the large biergarten went in. in fact, the bar was in the far corner of the restaurant and only had a few stools before they went "big time".

every time i came back, from that point onward, the food, the beer, the atmosphere... everything has been unbeatable. if you truly consider yourself a lover of german food, nobody in this area can top anything on the menu, especially the schnitzels. my favorite is the jägerschnitzel, with the decadent mushroom gravy, but the classicschnitzelis also one to be had. you must visit several times and try a new item on the menu. nothing will disappoint.

...and i'm not just saying that because jürgen and i love the music of heino, which you may hear at the restaurant if you're lucky. their food really is that good, and for the love of all that is decent and holy, please order a liter to go with the meal. bavarian grill is great food, great beer, and a lively atmosphere that cannot be missed.

restaurant is old and musty and needs a total makeover while keeping with the theme. food was just ok yet extremely overpriced. theschnitzelwas good but everything else we were served was nothing better than i could prepare at home. they no longer serve bread but give you a basket of store bought mini pretzels with mustard. won't return or recommend it.

this is always a family favorite for celebrating birthdays. they bring our the cowbells and have you dance to the chicken dance. i love theschnitzeland spatzel and creamed spinach. you just can't go wrong with bavarian grill.

my fiancé and i found this place around a year ago the weekend we got engaged. we've both had german cuisine before and he's been to germany. we both agree that it's the best tasting german food that we've eaten here in america and its the best besides that in germany. i get the rahmschnitzelevery time and it's amazing. the mashed potatoes are wonderful. he likes to try something new every time. among the food, the atmosphere is great. it's like a cozy little nook inside. we go here every time were in the dfw area and we consider it "our place". i recommend this to anyone. it may not taste exactly like authentic german food, no, but it's great tasting food none the less.

schnitzel vundabar. if you're a light eater, this is not the place for you. i only eat here about once a year, but when theschnitzeland sauerkraut urge hits me, i don't even consider anyplace else. their jagerschnitzelwith mushroom sauce is unbelievably rich & good. the whole menu is authentic, with an enormous amount of dishes to choose from. just remember, they're all very rich! the atmosphere is authentic gasthaus, and reminds me of my army tour of duty in germany. service is great, with the waitresses wearing authentic bavarian style outfits and a cool accordionist adds to the already cool atmosphere. and of course the biers! i think they have about 50 genuine german beers to choose from (maybe more!) but every taste can be accommodated. if you've never been to germany or had their cuisine, give this place a try and i think you'll experience one of the reasons why everyone comes back from germany with fond memories. its vundabar!!!

sehr gut!. the bavarian grill is one of my favorite places to eat and to have a few libations. the food and atmosphere are wonderful and the beer is better. my favorite dish is the "jägerschnitzelmit spätzle und gemischtem salat", but i usually replace the spätzle with cream spinach or the red cabbage. i follow it with a liter of the franziskaner hefe dunkel and i'm set.

everything i have tried at bg's has been wonderful. some of the menu items may not look very appetizing but they will surprise you. case in point is the rinder rouladen...who would have thought to put a pickle spear in a piece of meat?! i can tell you that it works and it's out of this world.

if you want to try something different that is good, this is the place to go.
