basil with a twist

easily the finest dining experience i have ever had in my time at chennai. for a few years i had heard so much from friends and relatives about how good this place is. i can safely say that my visit here more than lived up to my expectations. the fact that i was getting increasingly tired of south indian cuisine might have influenced my decision to visit this place.

on this occasion, i started with a drink ( a peach ice tea) then skipped immediately to main course, ordered a hunter's steak- tenderloin beef and topped it off with a honey glazed banana cake for dessert. don't be deceived by the size of these portions. i'm not saying they were necessarily small but were mediocre. yet i struggled to finish what was left on my plate.the beef was cooked very well. it wasn't all that chewy and was very soft. as for the banana cake, it had just the right amount of caramel and blueberry topping adding to it. on the whole, i felt it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet which personally is good because it would have put me off the dish altogether.

not only was the food i ordered very good. i was equally impressed by the food presentation . it isnt an area that one usually comments on but this compelled one to dig in immediately upon taking first sight of the dish. i didn't have to wait very long to get each of my orders either. i probably paid the bill within 45 minutes of my arrival at the restaurant! so without a doubt one of the quickest services i have ever come across for any restaurant i have been to.

i most certainly want to visit this place again but would only do so if i have company so that we could split the bill among us!

amazing continental food...kids friendly... smiling staff...nice ambience...loved the dinner and would want to come back again...great place for team lunch or dinner...

after visiting i was wondering: why haven't i came before? as a french expat finding decent european food is complex... but finding very good one seemed impossible. but this restaurant really know what they are doing.

we took the filet mignon and that was awesome. meat very tender, medium rare cooked to perfection and not over cooked. nice sauce and mashed potatoes.

in dessert a perfect crêpe nutella 🍌 as if i was back in my grandmother kitchen. if they soon can serve wine and learn how to make a good cheesecake this place will become my cantina.

me and my friends been there few times. nice place, friendly service and great food.
this is european cuisine with a strong influence of india.
we ate delicious pumpkin soup, fresh salad with pear, dried plum and goat cheese, falafel and steaks. next time we had pizzas and they were very tasty too. meat isn’t my first choise, so my favorite is pasta with spinachi and cheese!
you won’t be wrong if you come here for lunch or dinner! i would strongly recommend this place!

the food was amazing and the cheesecake was super delicious!.
also got everything pretty soon as we ordered. didn’t have to wait long! overall had a great time here. would love to visit again
