dinner great- but loud!. we enjoyed the salmon dinners,goodoptions for sides- and once the crowd cleared out we could actually hear ourselves think! perhaps some buffers in the ceiling might help.....? the old building does have charm... wish we could have been outside.
plan to use the bathroom elsewhere- not always in great shape and desperately needing a remodel, or agoodcleaning!

i really wanted to like this place.. i went here three times so you can certainly say that i tried. my latest i had the 12oz new york with the cherry tomatoes and it was about asgoodas a chain restaurant. the steak was mostly fat and so so in the flavor department. the tomatoes were weird sweet and they forgot the side that i also wanted. when i did get it the veggies were really hard. the waitress was not that great. overall i would say try something else i would give them about a 4.

good place, but very loud accoustically!. this place has prettygoodfood and the prices are decent, but do not go here if you want to have a conversation with someone, such as on a date, because, as cool as the atmosphere is (in an historic building), it creates a very loud atmosphere. otherwise, their patio is a great place to enjoy a great drink and a yummy meal!

verygoodmeal. a pub atmosphere on the noisy ( to be expected) side. service was ok, not great. served bread with my meal but was offered no butter. had to ask to get my water glass re-filled. ordered the featured dessert, and they were out at a time of the evening when it should have still been available. i had the rum pepper steak. very good. an excellent piece of meat, cooked properly to medium rare, served with mashed potatoes and "chef's" vegetables. i'd go back.

dinner last night. i work at one of the local businesses next to bardenay in eagle. we decided to order some dinner to go. i ordered the grilled salmon. the menu said it came with a salad. very disappointed. even though the fish tastedgoodand was moist, the salad was just lettuce that appeared to have been taken right from the bag, sprinkled with some croutons, a small container of dressing and a lemon wedge. very disappointing. i have heardgoodthings. big let down

my husband and i went to the downtown bardenay for my birthday lunch today. it was self seating and we waited quit a while for service, once crystal came to our table she was passive aggressive with her looks and comments. i was not happy that much of the menu i saw online was not available, but ordered something anyway. the food took forever to come and the restaurant was only half full. if the food wasgoodor if my order was even correct, i could have overlooked the long wait...but it wasn'tgoodand it wasn't correct! our waitress rolled her eyes at us again saying she would fix it, but that is how it is, basically. no birthday cake or ice cream, no manager asking to fix anything, no discount for mistakes and bad food. we will not be back!!!!!

one of my favorites. this is an all aroundgoodrestaurant for brunch, lunch, dinner, drinks. they have an extensive menu that is reasonably priced. if you bring a group of people, everyone will find something they like. that's why i like this place when i'm hosting out of town guests. the mixed drinks are great--strong and lots of unusal combinations. they make the best greyhound in town! staff have always been friendly. i've always been able to find a seat. they also have lovely outdoor seating during the summer. you can't go wrong with bardenay!

average. the food didn't taste bad, but when the service was as bad and as slow as the service we received, the food doesn't taste all thatgoodeither. overall, the atmosphere was pleasant, but it didn't make up for the lack of effort shown by the staff we encountered.

great place. i personally like the one in eagle better since you can sit by the river during the warmer months. the food is consistentlygood(nothing too fancy but good) and the servers are well educated on the food/wine selection etc.

best overall in town. great and inventive cocktail list,goodbeers and wines, decent food all at affordable prices. gets a little loud but it's a large brick building; at least it's the sound of happy people!

2 nights in a row. in town for business for the week and bardenay is around the corner form my hotel. last night was chorizo and red bean stew, two different satays one beef and one chicken) and was a terrific dinner. tonight was not as impressive. the bruschetta was basically average and the calamari could have been used for spare tires. i again had a satay (a garlic chicken) that wasgoodand an average mediterranean beef gyro type sandwich but the meat was tough. servce was very slow this evening. food gets a "b" forthe combined effort. take off the appetizers that you cant do a great job with. dont put food out there that is only average and instead focus on what you do very well.

really confused about all thegoodreviews! the service was mediocre - we stood in the restaurant for a few minutes before a waitress walked by and in a i have better things to do tone, told us to "sit where ever". the trout was way too salty, the pork chop dry, & only a handfull of beers on tap. my friend ordered a mojito, the waiter said she should try the huckleberry one. she took a sip & didnt like it. she asked for a regular one and they charged us for both. i would not recomend this place to anyone.
