we went on a friday night. the service was quick and our drinks refilled promptly...they were a little weird in that no one really "spoke" to us, just buzzed in and out refilling our drinks and dropping out orders off. our orders were not timed at the same time (two of us), but there was not a huge delay between them. the good and presentation was ok. i've had better but i've had worse. overall, i'd give it a thumbs up- 7/10.

much like all the other ayce sushi places but much cheaper. we love this place. it has every one of the problems we have experienced at other ayce sushi places (1000 islands, kan, hockey etc.): sometimes orders get lost, sometime service is slow, but it is a great value. the sushi is as good as any of the other ayce places. this is not festival japan; if you want a-la-carte sushi go spend $50-60 per person and stop moaning about the "poor quality" of all you can eat; for real sushi snobs the quality won't make you happy. for the rest of us, balancing cost with value, to have a nice night out with our family banc sushi is awesome. we go once a month and get out the door for under $80 for two adults and two kids 6/8 including tip and drinks.

the food is great and affordable.
the service is bad but at least you don't have to interact with the staff that much due to the ordering tablets.

if you want all you can eat sushi in ottawa, this is the place to go for either lunch or dinner. food was tasty, very good selection and restaurant was very clean. i've been there twice and found it to be consistent.

loved ordering from tablets with pictures for each item. however, the food was so so. all tempura items were either wayyy over done or so under done they were cold.

we left several items uneaten. will not be returning.

not for vegans. i went with some friends and tried to order what appeared to be vegan dishes, but everything seemed to be garnished with some sort of fish product. the eggplant teriyaki arrived with bonita (fish) flakes sprinkled on top; the veggie rolls all seemed to have been rolled in red fish roe. not a good place if you're vegan.

by far the worst sushi ever. the waitress was rude and charged us the dinner prices even though we arrived an hour before they served dinner. she argued with us saying that the kitchen stops serving lunch way before dinner (3:30). slow service and reluctant to provide more ice cream even though it was a buffet. lastly, if you pay by debit or credit, they will charge you an extra $2 without letting you know.

i have been coming here for many years. tonight, i picked up my takeput as i do every 2 weeks and prices went up 30%!!! they are now charging uber eats rates even if you pick up!! and on a 115$ order i get 2 little cips of soy sauce and have to pay if i want more?? wow, never again!! you just lost a great customer.

the service isn't the friendliest but they are still nice people. it has been are go to sushi place for years and we love it. other than a few hit and misses, this is your go to place for all you can eat dim sum items and sushi. tempura is quite good and not overly greasy. sushi is great and if you pay cash you get 10% off.

ive been here multiple times but this time the quality of the seafood wasn't so good. the salmon had an odd taste and smell to it and the shrimp and crab felt and tasted like rubber. we wanted to return our orders to the kitchen because the sushi was inedible. the manager blamed us for ordering too much food and not being able to finish what we had ordered. however, the soups and vegetables were fresh.

it has been a while since we visited banc sushi, and i really wish we didn't. the quality is below average and so is the taste. it took us a few minutes before being 'noticed' by the wait staff who were too busy playing with their cell phones, so unprofessional. i do realize this is not a fine dining establishment but average service would be expected. of course quite a few items were missed from our orders and the place was not even that busy.
my husband got sick after eating there and i still have stomach pains two days later.
i'm really trying to find a good thing to say about this place, well one of the waitresses was semi-friendly but that's about it.

worst sushi ever don't go there it's a waste of money and time. the sushi taste like shit. salmon not fresh , receive sushi we didn't order . the only thing that was ok was the waitress. oh and the candy at the cash! i am actually sick because of their sushi .

can't believe this has an almost 4.0 rating. shows how lacking sushi is in this city. was the worst sushi i have ever had. i've had grocery store sushi better than here. general tao chicken was horrible. calamari was cold, when i sent it back the waitress said "oh you wanted it hot"... absolutely horrible service. from the watered down pop to unthawed "sashimi" this was probably the worst dining experience in my life.

dinner last night. unspeakably poor service and food was terrible. we have been here a number of times and it's been going downhill. last night was final straw. had to repeatedly ask and look for service. didn't clean up dishes. to make a point, i started piling the dirty dishes. no effect. servers were so bad i would not go back for free food. there are lots of all you can eat sushi places - do yourself a favour and find another one!
