bamboo steakhouse & sushi bar

the food always great the only think i dont like they put musics always make me sad like music for who break up with boyfriends or just boring musics . i'm not saying i want hear good musics but please change that station and put some more happy musics .

poor service and food. my cousin and i arrived last saturday for hibachi and sushi...we waited for 7 minutes to be sitted while several waiters walked by. the hostess was having a personal conversation and didnt want to be bothered by customers. when we finally got seated i had to continually ask the waiter for items, straw, chop sticks, soy sauce cup... he was super rude, he leaned across my face to refill my cousins glass when he could have easily walked behind me to do it or around ....he asked my cousin for refills , to go box, and never even offered me an option of anything all night. finally , i stated that i needed a to-go box and stated that i appreciated him asking. ....our meal was $53.00...i think that should call for good service.

the hibachi attendent was amazing. he noticed how rude the waiter was and gave me several shrimp to go with my meal. he didnt have to do this...i didnt even order shrimp..i just mention they were my favorite.

i had been there three times prior but this time the waiter really made me realize how service really affects my sushi decisions now.

sho-gun, osaka, fuji san, stix, dhrumas, all have great food and service.

great food and super nice waitstaff. the habachi is the only reason i go.

first time & loved it. i went with the girls this weekend because they had been begging me to try it. i've only eaten sushi a few times but i could become addicted to it when it taste this good. our server was really helpful (i had no idea how to order and had to ask lol). the place was packed with people, so it was really loud, but other than that the atmosphere was pretty nice. i would definitely try it again.

yummy yummy.!. this was my first time coming here and it was amazing. i had the yummy yummy roll. delicious.! the service here is amazing. i would definitely come back if i lived in town.!

sushi looks great, but most of the rolls i've had so far there are so-so. shame.

i want my money back.. i read lots of positive reviews for this place,so i gave the hibachi a shot tonight with the family. did i eat at the right place? i guess we went on a bad night because it was terribly disappointing. this food was not fresh and it was flavorless. the quality of the steak was shameful considering how much they charged for it. also, when trying to order an adult beverage it was explained by our server that they did not have it because "the machine was broken." are you kidding me? big bar and nobody there who knows how to make a drink? we won't go back there again.

the sushi was good, while the hibachi was really no better than any other place i have been in mobile. the overall service was poor at best. i called several days in advance with a reservation for 25. when we arrived no plan had been made for where they would sit us, and initially they did not want to sit us until the entire party arrived. i asked for regular tables but they said they didn't have the staff to accommodate 25 at regular tables, so they tried to cram us on two hibachi tables not meant to comfortably sit more than 8-10 each. being on hibachi tables we felt very split and rushed. after requiring manager approval to move some of my party to a third hibachi table we finally were able to get orders in an hour after arrival. even though we had three waitresses at three different tables, several in my party complained about the lack of refils and service. while my situation is not the norm for most it has soured the establishment to me for the future with equal or better options elsewhere in town.

love love bamboo steakhouse! all the food is consistently great from fresh sushi to wonderful hibachi. you can’t beat the food. and the service is exceptional. love bamboo!

great staff and wonderful food.  we had yummy soup to start and then we really enjoyed the steak, shrimp, and scallops with a really good vegetable stir fry along with fried rice and a noodle dish.  great assortment for us to taste each others food.  lots of food with enough leftovers for lunch the next day.

great atmosphere, great food !!!!! great sushi me and friends and family had a great time, everything was cook properly, better than the new kid in town!

really disappointed in my "hibachi rice." it was non-buttery, plain, and overflowing with small, chopped onions that i couldn't get out. it cost 15 dollars for a "side" of rice to be delivered to my house, as it only comes as 1 size. they failed to inform me that a side of rice doesn't exist, charged me for a full meal, and took an hour to deliver to my house 10 minutes away from the restaurant. i will never be ordering from this restaurant again. terrible rice and terrible overall experience.

slow service, but their staff is very obviously stretched thin. the bar tender was also the greeter and a cook! apologized many times and made sure my wine was full, i hope the management appreciates its employees.

lots of small issues make for a distasteful experience.. the sushi was sticky, most restaurants would have thrown it out. the miso was cold and disappointing. lots of things in the restaurant were dirty, including the menus. the dumpster is in the front parking lot and the smell is overwhelming, hits everyone who goes through the front door. there seem to always be employees drinking on the clock at night. i just don't get how they place stays open. it's like someone is hiring their friends instead of workers. all in all just a lot of little things that are hard to look past create problems for the restaurant. would not recommend, do not take a date here, do not take your friends here.

my wife and i love this place,it has become our go to sushi spot. staff is always super friendly, and helpful. we always get seated as soon as we walk in the door.unlike a lot of the other habachi places, you can order from the habachi menu sitting at the normal tables and booths.there prices are very good for the amount of food you get, and on top of that, they are always offering specials, both on sushi and drinks.we have been on nice romatic dates here, and we have also been in sweaty gym clothes after working out. casual dress code. over all awesome place to eat! (try the double tuna roll if you like raw, louisiana roll if cooked)
