my first time eating at baker street was a may dinner. i was very happy with the service, everyone is very kind and our server checked in on us atgoodtimes.

the food, i'm mixed on. if i am paying so much for an entree, i expect it to taste very good. i had the al fresco fettucini. it was extremely greasy (there was a huge puddle of grease in the bottom of the bowl) and the sun dried tomatoes tasted sour and i found myself picking around them. all the other ingredients were fine, though, and the portion was huge.

the rest of the food and my martini tasted great. the soup of the day was clam chowder and i loved it. i also had a calamari appetizer which was tasty.

the bread was also good, especially the pretzel bread. however, we got 4 pieces of bread for our 6-person group, which lead the the awkward, "no, you can have it" and tearing some in half to share.

overall, i wouldn't go back unless someone else was paying. the prices were less expensive than i would have thought and you get a lot of food, but i like don hall's even better.

take your date there if you have a big wallet and want to impress him or her, but it isn't the best place in town by a long shot.

we started with the escargot & muscles, and finished with the filet medallions & filet with lobster crown. the escargot was very strange tasting compared to escargot at every other restaurant i've been to. who puts stilton bleu cheese on escargot? pass.... the muscles were extremely fishy. another pass.... both dinners were just average at best. not worth the 116 price tag. on agoodnote the service was spot on.....

we were promptly seated at our reservation time. we had the bruschetta as an appetizer. it was good. the ceaser salad was not so great. the filet mignon and ny strip steak are amazing. the cheesecake for dessert was reallygoodas well.

try the lobster bisque. it was amazing. goes well with their pretzel bread which is verygoodtoo. other than that, you should be able to make anything on their menu better at home for $100 less than you'd spend on a dinner for two. i had the lamb, it was well cooked but bland. risotto was ok but nothing great. i also had the sashimi tuna. you have to have freshly ground black pepper with the sesame seeds on that dish. that's just common sense. i know it's easy to overpower, but for $14 work on your craft, bro.

reliably good. we often eat lunch here; sometimes have dinner; and once in a while grab martinis and appetizers after a movie. the bar is the best spot for lunch; arrive early to get a booth. all the bartenders aregoodbut if you're lucky, dennis will be on duty. the wine selection is above average, the seafood excellent, especially the oysters and salmon. the service is professional, attentive without hovering. the quality of the food is first-rate, and special requests for a particular dish are readily accommodated. the décor is dark and soothing. the prices are in line with the best restaurants in fort wayne. it's a great place to celebrate a special occasion. jo and marge

food was good, but not as amazing as i was expecting! i ordered the lobster filet and it was pretty good! the steak was nice and tender, the lobster tail was just okay. the white chicken chilli is amazing though! nice and creamy with agoodamount of kick to it. one other negative thing was our waitress was really awkward and it's too dark in there! i understand it's supposed to give of a romantic vibe but the the lighting was a tad dim.

eddies vs. bakerstreet. tough one to call but baker-street might be a bit less pretentious and every bit asgoodas eddies. i would rather take a date to baker-street however just because it feels a bit more cozy.. might be nice if they offered valet on the weekends.. i would likely take business guests to eddies all the same.. they are both great

classy. baker street is a more expensive high end restaurant. i just got the lobster bisque and blackened tilapia sandwich so i didn't get any of their signature dishes. it was a nice atmosphere and i liked everything i ordered. they also hadgoodservice so no complaints here.

good enviornment, service and food. being on the road i usually sit at the bar. not crowded for an 8:30 seating on a wednesday night. if you are there to watch sports while eating, not really the place with only two tv's. the bartender, matthew, was veryinformative and his suggestions were dead on. had the bacon wrapped mahi mahi. huge asparagus, grilled to perfection and the mahi was good, once i removed it from the bacon. the bacon took away from the fish, butgoodflavor once removed. wedge and desert are large portions, so don't expect to finis the entire meal. that meal and large glass of wine was $60 with tip.

i'll be back !. we had a wonderful first time experience at baker street 12/9/11. we had reservations and were seated with a bit of a delay mostly due to a young gal, probably seasonal help.
we were served promptly, courteously and professionally by jonah......great guy! the atmosphere was warm and cozy.
we started with the special scallops which were verygoodand the next time will try the blackened scallop appetizer on the menu; be careful; there are wonderful appetizer options; i could make a meal of all of them. the new england clam chowder was great as was the home make blue cheese salad dressing on the house salad. the next time i'm going to try the lobster bisque. my husband ordered the stuffed sea bass special with risotto with lobster, of which i ate half....very good! i ordered the blue glazed filet, of which my husband ate half......it was heaven! perfectly cooked medium rare with feta cheese and a wonderful sauce....if there weren't more options on the menu that i want to try i would order this again and again! oh, and the pretzel bread, sound funny but ..... perfection.....so soft! if all that wasn't enough we had the creme brule which was delightful and took home for the following day the carrot cake which too was wonderful. a wonderful 5 start resturant in fort wayne!

good mood, goodfood. i visited baker street with my lady friends on saturday night.
the mood was relaxing, dim and nice, like a lounge of agoodhotel.
we liked crab cake, blackened scallop, bruschetta, steaks, cheese cakes and creme brulee. their dessert were very good. you need to save some space in your stomach for them. the dry white wine a waiter, ryan, recommended was good, too.
soups (clam chowder and lobster bisque) were too salty and more water or milk should have been added. these are the only disappointment.
ryan was very friendly and helpful when we asked him to recommend menus for appetizer and dessert, and when we told him we wanted to share almost all the food we ordered.
overall we liked the mood, service and food and would like to go back again.

baker street is a spectacular restaurant. the food is always great there, and the service isgood9/10 times. there were only a few odd times where waiting quality has been below average. the atmosphere is metropolitan and quite enjoyable.
