concierge at our hotel sent us here. long wait forfoodthat wasn't great. my burger was cooked to oblivion despite having asked for medium and the ranch dressing tasted like water with some dill mixed in. our waiter was pretty attentive and kept our drinks refilled during our lengthy wait. but thefoodjust wasn't worth it.

nice people and goodfoodat what are really quite reasonable prices. i'm no foodie but to me the dishes appear imaginative without becoming silly, so there's usually something new to try as well as something familiar to enjoy.
great though not obtrusive music from the resident musicians grapelli and reinhardt ;) - again i'm no expert but really, these guys surely know their stuff and it appears that some customers, at least, come as fans. tip jar is clearly visible, so bring a few loose notes.

thefoodhere is unique...so don't go here if your idea of eating outside the box is applebee's. that being said, i am sure you do want something different. otherwise you wouldn't be browsing urbanspoon :-) the breakfast is delicious! fresh ingredients and not greasy. lunch is delicious as well. i got the ham, brie, and blueberry melt, my mom got the chicken salad sandwich, my sister got the fried green tomato sandwich (which i probably wouldn't order again for the fact that it only had 3 tiny tomatoes and i ended up peeling away half my bread away to get to them), my fiancé took the late breakfast option (which is a nice option to have when you wake up a wee bit too late and everyone else in your group wants lunch), and my brother got a salad with grilled chicken that looked amazing!

i will say that today they were quite disorganized. prior to seating us they informed us that the transition between breakfast and lunch wasn't going smoothly and that, even though it was 11:30 and lunch was supposed to start at 11:00, they wouldn't be able to put our order in for another 20 minutes. also, they didn't have a soup of the day or the curry chicken sandwich. plus, my sisters meal came out a good 10 min after everyone else's. i can't say that this is the norm, since i'm not from here and this is only the second time i've eaten here, but it's not enough to knock them off my favorites list yet ;-)

love that it is dog friendly. nice small draft list.foodis good not great. nothing blew me away and we had about 8 different things. well to be honest one thing was pretty great and it was the butter they had for the bread. super tasty.

the wait was quite long on a saturday morning. thefoodand service was average at best. some of thefoodcame out cold when it was supposed to be hot.

unexpected pleasure!

stopped by for a late breakfast. was pleasantly surprised by how good the drinks were and how great thefoodwas!
i ordered a cranberry & vodka (titos) with a twist of lime (aka a cape cod) & my hubby ordered a bloody mary. he said it was great! i loved my cape cod too! as a matter of fact, we each had two!!! and i never have two!
thefoodwas fan-tas-tic! we loved it!
i ordered the shrimp and grits meal & my husband ordered the oglethorpe scramble. both were just delicious! actually, this ended up being our favorite restaurant in all of savannah, and we tried about ten different places!
any how, we have one night left here & we are going back! loved it! try it! hope you'll like it too!

excellent.foodwith a varying menu served by a very casual maybe too but none the less affable and efficient staff. usually cannot go wrong.

i really love this place. they kept the historical feel for the building that they are in, and they serve good southern basedfoodwith a twist. this was where i learned to love eggs benedict. i highly recommend their fried green tomato version.

great place! i visited this place during my trip to savannah. the reason we decided to go was because it was close to my hotel, but it turned out to be a really great place. the service was great. we felt like family. thefoodwas also amazing! try the black eyed pea cake sandwich!

great place. my wife and i went here while celebrating our one year anniversary in savannah and were very pleased. thefoodwas good and the service was good. we went earlier in the evening, so they were not busy yet. i can see how this place could see slower service once it becomes packed, but we had a fine experience.foodwas on point and it was a great atmosphere. our server was nice and knew the menu, so he was able to offer quite a bit. i highly recommend this as a must go to place when in savannah

and please don't say they needed it to cook... not if it has ice in the cup!


thefoodwe tried was great. we where not too hungry, so settled for the local cheese plate and meat plate. phillip was our server and he was super knowledgable !

service not so great. waited a while to get greated and for our drinks. we had to ask for our drinks to be refilled. ourfoodtook more than 45 minutes to come to the table after ordering. overall not the most awesome experience.foodwas ok, nothing special. grits were cold. from my chef husband, "it is just brunch, it should not be that hard to make it good."

ate here yesterday for brunch. myfoodwas very good and beautifully presented. i got the crab omlette. it came with grits and fruit. my husband got the burger! we are on vacation and will probably be back before the trip is over.
