aussie bbq

warning... i'm about to do a lot of complaining!!!

i do not understand the hype about this place. people may disagree with me but i really don't like it here. i will never be returning. the place is so dirty and grim. the layout of everything doesn't make sense and they don't use up all of their available space- with only 8 tables available. i was so uncomfortable at our table between the seats and the height of the table.

there is no point in coming here towaitfor a table just for a mediocre burger when there are much nicer, cleaner and better places for burgers in dublin. okay, if you are around this area you have jo burger, bunsen and bóbós within walking distance. i don't understand why anyone would choose to come here. the prices are the same. the food wasn't good. of course it looks decent, but there are better options. the chips were covered in so much salt i felt like i was eating pure salt. the meat in the burger was bad quality.

i honestly think people just come in here and automatically don't expect much and that is why they think the food is so good. i just don't know. it is a place for a group of lads to get their food in before a big night out!

i was very excited to try this place out after rave reviews but i have to say it was so disappointing. 

service was slow - and i mean super slow, over an hour before we got a table and the restaurant part was practically empty. i don't understand the system where they have awaitlist and don't seat people at least?? 

food was mediocre at best, yes it is good value and you get a lot of meat but after waiting an our on a table and 30mins on food you would want a large portion!! 

i expected a lot more from this place and will give it one more chance but there are other great value places a stones throw away with great food!

myself and my roommates regularly order from aussie bbq for collection, but recently we decided to dine in! i was nursing a bit of a hangover so was badly craving a good feed and aussie didn't disappoint!!we had towait30mins for a 4 person table(this didn't bother us!) on sunday evening, so be prepared towaitor go for a drink(loads of pubs around this part of town)! there's a great atmosphere to the place, and is perfect for either groups or for a date! there's a large choice on the menu, but i went for the aussie and sweet potato chips which really hit the spot!! i got cajun mayo dip, which i didn't really like...it tasted more like curry!my housemates also went for an aussie, crocodile cajun burgers, and garlic cheese chips which they all really enjoyed. staff are friendly and helpful, thewaitfor our food was normal, good prices so all in all a very enjoyable visit! 👍👍

absolutely loveeee this place! i always kick myself though that i haven't booked in advance as it's always super busy but, thewaitis worth it. i love the sweet potato fries and always try order a different burger when i go. overall great food and great service.

i like the food here a lot, and the portions are fantastic! my only issue is that there's always awaitfor a table, which i hate for something that's meant to be casual. this does mean the service suffers, as i do feel under pressure to clear the table once i'm done.

great value and good quality, had an excellent time here with a few friends and would recommend to everyone. i had a burger which was of good quality and very tasty the fries were really good to. do be aware that you will have a bit of awaitif they are busy however it is time well spent and you won't be disappointed great spot for meat lovers and they also regularly have eating competitions for those brave enough to attempt them.

i had heard so many good things about the aussie bbq so my expectations were high. it took me a little longer than usual to order, there is just so much to choose from! after much thought i ordered the cockadoodle cajun burger with a side of sweet potato fries. a feast arrived before my eyes. not one but two spiced chicken breasts smothered in melted cheese, caramelised red onions, lettuce, tomato and cajun mayo. i’m hungry thinking of it. there were also some tasty sauces on the table which were great for dipping the fries in. it was a struggle to finish everything but there was no way i was leaving any behind. one word of advice, make sure you go with an appetite! great value for money, i can’twaitto go back!
