aussie bbq

lots of choice, lot's of taste and in all sizes. it's the ideal after a night out as it'll help cure a hang-over and get you ready for the next sortie. the great white hamburger is big, hence the name, it's massive. nice place, average people and coolaussiedecor.

i made the mistake of going here on a first date. mistakes were made for several reasons but i faced the challenge that every girl faces on a first date; what can i order that's easy to eat and that won't end up all over my face?! i panicked when i saw all the burgers, wings and ribs and then there they were, chicken tenders. yes!!!! you can casually eat those puppies with control and with a sauce-less face. amazing. i also ordered some sweet potato fries. 
he, however, didn't have an issue with having a saucy face. he ordered: 'the outback' burger, the 'treat yo badself & double those wings' chicken wings, a portion of 'baconnaise' (which was delicious by the way) and the 'pulled pork & bacon fries' all of which were huge portions.

what unfolded was both the dream and the nightmare. the food was so so good! my chicken tenders were insanely delicious. i tried everything and wished i was there with friends so we could devour it all. there was sauce everywhere. he had sauce in his beard, on his t-shirt, all over his hands, and surprisingly enough he kept adding more table sauces into the equation. his food was so good that he barely spoke to me and after he finished all his food, he ate my last chicken tender. 

in summary,aussiebbq is delicious. it is reasonably priced. it isn't ideal for a first date but it is definitely a place to go with friends or someone who already loves you unconditionally (even with sauce in your beard). for the record, i never saw him again but i hope he is happy and somewhere surrounded in sauce.

myself and my roommates regularly order fromaussiebbq for collection, but recently we decided to dine in! i was nursing a bit of a hangover so was badly craving a good feed andaussiedidn't disappoint!!we had to wait 30mins for a 4 person table(this didn't bother us!) on sunday evening, so be prepared to wait or go for a drink(loads of pubs around this part of town)! there's a great atmosphere to the place, and is perfect for either groups or for a date! there's a large choice on the menu, but i went for theaussieand sweet potato chips which really hit the spot!! i got cajun mayo dip, which i didn't really like...it tasted more like curry!my housemates also went for an aussie, crocodile cajun burgers, and garlic cheese chips which they all really enjoyed. staff are friendly and helpful, the wait for our food was normal, good prices so all in all a very enjoyable visit! 👍👍

i had heard great things aboutaussiebbq but unfortunately i was left disappointed. the food was only ok and service was slow. the table we got had not been clean and we had to find cutlery ourselves as we could not get the attention of staff. don't think i will be visiting again

came here last night as we were having a late dinner andaussiebbq is open til midnight! i'd heard great things about this place but overall i was a bit disappointed. i ordered the chook box which is a cornfed chicken fillet, four chicken wings and two chicken dippers. i was quite hungry, the meal did fill me and it was also very good value for money costing only €9, but i didn't think it was anything too special. i don't think i'd be rushing back because the food was only okay and service wasn't great at all. the staff were nice but not very attentive.

i love this place the burgers are easily one of the best in dublin and their fries are the best in dublin hands down i crack every time and have to order them really good quality food and a rocking atmosphere in here serious music on any night you pop in too.

the one thing though that stand them apart is the service, just class really really good my little fella loves it and they genuiely take time to chat to you when they can(the place is mad busy)

it also seems a haunt for gym goers as they offer massive meat platters for very good value.

one drawback is the queue which is a good sign, you literlaly will never ever walk in here any weekend evening without a 45 minute wait, not  a chance but it is worth the wait.

do yourself a favour and pop in

it is only recently that i have come to appreciate the quality & value of food inaussiebbq. suffering from a mild hangover i was dying for a juicy burger and salty fries & got exactly that. the burger was a good size topped with cheese, caramelised onions, jalapeños and chilli burger sauce, a great combo of toppings. the boomerang fries were glorious. twice fried in duck fat & sprinkled with a special boomerang seasoning, very addictive! my boyfriend got the beast box which was essentially a platter of each type of meat.. it looked a bit challenging but very tasty!

the menu has a lot to offer, particularly for meat lovers and there is a really great drinks menu also. smoothies, shakes, cider, craft beers, wine, flavoured juices and sodas are all available. best of all the entire meal including 2 mains, 1 side a craft beer and cider came to only €33!! super value!

i had heard so many good things about theaussiebbq so my expectations were high. it took me a little longer than usual to order, there is just so much to choose from! after much thought i ordered the cockadoodle cajun burger with a side of sweet potato fries. a feast arrived before my eyes. not one but two spiced chicken breasts smothered in melted cheese, caramelised red onions, lettuce, tomato and cajun mayo. i’m hungry thinking of it. there were also some tasty sauces on the table which were great for dipping the fries in. it was a struggle to finish everything but there was no way i was leaving any behind. one word of advice, make sure you go with an appetite! great value for money, i can’t wait to go back!
