atlanta highway seafood market

we had our mom day dinner tonight and eat some good seafood. i had the jumboshrimpand some goooood gumbo. you need to try this place if you love seafood like we do.

we had lunch at the atlanta seafood market today and it was great. we had scallops andshrimpgrilled. the hushpuppies are made with sweet corn in them. sooooo gooood ya'll need to try this place it you like fresh seafood.

neighborhood gem. i had theshrimpplatter today and it was great. the hushpuppies were to die for. theshrimpwere large and lightly breaded and very plump. the restuarant was clean and the staff were very friendly. if you love seafood, this is the best you will find without going to the coast.

ate here again last week. i've never had a bad meal here! had the friedshrimpand oyster platter. large serving-- better food than i get on the coast, and way more reasonable in cost. restaurant was packed, as usual, but the food and service was super!

always great. fresh, tasty, and better than most coastal restaurants. usually crowded at lunch. fast service, though.

  the atlanta highway seafood market isn’t a mountain drive, nor is it a winery, but it is one of the best seafood restaurants in georgia. i started going to their restaurant when they had two tables. they now have about twelve or thirteen tables. if you are planning to visit them you had better go early. they are jammed packed during the lunch and dinner hours. they do have some tables outside you can use during warmer weather. outside seating at atlanta highway seafood market with that being said lets talk fresh fish and shrimp. as you walk into the restaurant you will see the fresh fish andshrimpin the counters. i know, you’re probably saying ” who wants to smell fish” well you don’t. they keep it iced down and it is flown in fresh 4 times per week. fresh fish iced down in the counters the freshshrimpdifferent sizes here is a little history about the restaurant and owners. being raised in biloxi, mississippi the founder of atlanta highway seafood market has always enjoyed fresh

awesome!. i just went here for my first time with my grandparents for dinner. i thought i had been eating real fried oysters all along. boy, was i so so wrong! these were real oysters. and they just melted in my mouth. theshrimpis huge! everything is so fresh. the hushpuppies are good. it only costed 34 dollars for all 3 of us to eat there including our drinks. and for fresh seafood that is a great price. and the portion is perfect. friendly staff. i can't believe this place is in gainesville of all places. i hope they are able to get a bigger place soon to accommodate their customer base. we got there around 4:45 and good thing too because when we left the customers started piling in! i can not wait to go back here again.

atlanta highway seafood market. friends asked us to lunch here after early church today. we live about 30 minutes away and they suggested we be there by 11:15 or so to beat the crowd. what a good call that was! we got a table immediately but it was full with people waiting when we left. there are only 15 or 20 tables. market is next door to the restaurant. we ordered and ate. this was the best friedshrimpand freshest i've had in a long time. the fried oysters were a little bit over-battered to my liking but theshrimpwere perfect. hush puppies were good. everything was good; owners and wait staff friendly; and the place was small and not fancy but immaculate. all fish and shellfish in the market looked and smelled very fresh. it's a little bit of a jaunt for us but we will go back soon. they have grilled choices as well as fried and crab cakes and crab legs. they sell clams and mussels in the market but i didn't see them on the menu. prices are very inexpensive for seafood. (crab $17.50/lb compared to $30/lb at another local market.) the gumbo was very good, not the traditional roux-based, but very good anyway. all seafood is wild caught. excellent!

fresh great seafood. my friends shared theirshrimppo-boy sandwich and seafood platter with me before and it was amazing and made me want to visit them, so i stopped by takeout. when i heard they are on atlanta hwy, i needed to think twice, but this place was so clean and their sea food on display was very fresh looking. the person who took my order was very friendly too. he told me that they are from biloxi. while waiting, he let me taste gumbo and ceviche (chopped cooked fish salad with fresh tomato, onion, cilantro etc.) and they were both great. ceviche is for people who like spicy hot though. i ordered mexicanshrimpon rice (one of their daily specials), homemade egg rolls, and grilledshrimppo-boy and they were all excellent. i highly recommend this place.

fresh and friendly. not only is the fish and cajun food terrific, the po boys are fabulous, not to mention the friendshrimpand the gumbo, but the owners and staff are friendly, (they don't treat you like they are doing you a favor). a winning combination.

excellent!. who would have thought you could get authentic gumbo and red beans and rice in gainesville, georgia? not to mention the po'boys and the rest of the fish selection. and, it's reasonable, too.
