asuka japanese steak house & sushi

said it once before, but it bears repeating.... the is truly a restaurant that stands out. the chefs who put out the sushi are truly skilled, even in a crazy rush. we love the laid-back atmosphere and the beautiful seafood. this place is where its at,...a casual atmosphere with people at the helm who care about food quality. we are truly ecstatic about enjoying high-quality, tender, well-selected fish, and a well-developed menu while watching excited children celebrating such memorable birthday parties. you have found the balance and you have our loyalty, chef.

excellent sushi experience. our first visit to asuka was a great experience. we did not get the hibachi, but saw many entertained families in the dining room who seemed quite satisfied. the sushi menu offers many creative selections including a roll called the red bull roll which was seafood and rice wrapped in medium-rare steak. the softshell crab was prepared perfectly. the chef is very skilled and cares about what he served as evidenced by what he put on each plate. he didn't just serve everything with wasabi and ginger, like a lot of places we've been to. the toro(fatty tuna) nigiri was served without wasabi or ginger because the chef thought it stood alone in flavor and didn't need to be dressed up. he was right, because it was flavorful on its own and anything else would have ruined the integrity of the fish. if you go here, please order a quail egg shooter for everyone at table, you won't regret it. asuka delivered a perfect sushi dinner and we will be back.

it was okay. i suggest driving 10 mins. down the road to yamamoto because it is much better. the service was fine, but the hibachi was not so good. there was too much sauce on the food and my stomach had "yucky" feeling afterwards. yamamoto has better food plus you get a dessert. i also felt that the food here was overpriced.

i went to asuka today for hibachi. my friend and i told the hostess we wanted hibachi, the waitress proceeded to sit me and my friend in the corner. my friend and i got up after 5 min of being overcrowded. we go to the bar and ask for hibachi to go. i get in the car, open my food up and i see a slab of uncut chicken with a bunch of sauce slapped on the top. the fried rice was barely fried and i guess the chef decided that it was ok to slap a fried egg on top of the rice. the egg was not even mixed in the rice. the food looked disgusting. my friend goes in and asks for a refund because this clearly wasn’t hibachi, the staff was very rude and did not give him a refund. he asked to speak to the manager and the manager also would not give him a refund. the manager did not even offer to re make the deplorable food they gave us, he just simply said “that’s how to go hibachi is” and took the disgusting food back that they gave us. so we paid $50 for a to go meal that we didn’t even get to take home. i would not recommend this place at all!

i had a great experience for lunch. their oyster appetizer was delicious, their veggie tempura and the two half rolls i tried were also excellent. definitely worth a try.

oh my! this is my favorite indulgence for eating out. dinner can be a tad pricey so the secret is to join them for lunch monday through thursday. the food is always cooked to perfection and the sauces they use are so yummy. do yourself a favor and try the hibachi chicken with fried rice and a salad ($9). you will not find better food at a price comparable to fast food. their sushi is some of the best i have ever had and i highly recommend the tj roll. enjoy!

daughters bday. 1st visit, not a good experience. was told 25 minute wait, hostees sat numerous people after us. had to ask what about us, answer, " i am sorry, we overlooked you guys".

then sitted at hibachi to wait another 15 minutes before waiter took our order and another 15 minutes before we got our soup and salad. not worth the money and horrible management. talk to manager and seemed like he did not care.

don't waste your money or time.

the sushi is consistently good. i dine here often with my partner. i'm not a huge fan of hibachi, so i can't speak for that, but the sashimi (salmon in particular) is always very fresh. the rolls are great too, and the portions are generous.

too busy and no taste. first and last visit. waiter disappeared after taking our order. never cleared any dishes, never asked if we wanted a second drink, etc. entree' had zero taste. a waste of time. won't be back.

horrible! my 5 year old daughter wanted specifically to see the "fire show". we get there he walls up flips one egg breaks it then cracks 5he rest with his hand. didn' even speak to us other than saying well done ot med rare or chicken and steal. that's it!
i thought she maybe he's new or something.. so i asked the waitress and she said he was newer. and apologies and by the way she was a sweetheart. but then the hostess owner came over apologized and said to make up for it we get 15% off! yeah! then another member from our table looked over and said look! he was doing an awesome show with a party across the room!! no new excuse he was going all in pitching stuff and b everything. he didn't even try to throw egg in my daughters mouth and let her catch it. nothing. i was heated. so i asked my daughter. would ah rather see the fire cook show or get $1.50. guess what she wanted. so in the end we got over priced mall food. which might i add is faster and seved with at least a smile.

been there several times and ordered to go several times. obviously on friday and saturday nights it's packed and there will be a wait but every visit has been enjoyable in every aspect. great place, great sushi.

not to mention i had to hunt somebody down to get a drink because our waiter forgot about us i guess like everybody else did at asuka did.

we went to asuka early last night because we had plans for a comedy show. after a very long wait, i went to the hostess desk and noticed that my name had been skipped over several times. seated another table again after i went up there. after we finally got our food we had to take it to go so we wouldn't miss our show. the worse was the manager said he would take care of us and didn't. after 3 hour visit and didn't eat, never going back!

poor service. we dined at the hibachi grill this evening, our reservation was made in advance for 7 pm, while we waited until 8 pm for a seat at the hibachi grill, we ordered drinks from the bar, on the second order of drinks the bartender forgot about us. after reminding the hostess we had reservations for 7 pm we were finally seated. the menu items were unchanged but the prices had increased. the young lady removing the salad bowls dropped the sauce bowls all over my husband, our cook was not good, he couldn't light the onion volcano and said whoopee and kept going. the portions were small especially the filet mignon. my bill for 4 was well over $100.00. we will not be back:(

amazing food and atmosphere. excellent menu chef was great. cant wait to go back.
