antonio's mexican restaurant

worse mexicanfoodi have ever had. nothing is fresh the queso was made from a powder and the chorizo was just regular sausage. do not waste your money, your palate will be offended.

best tex-mex in weatherford. it is honestly a hit and miss menu but when it hits it's pretty great. do try the salsa, beans, rice, the tortillas and tamales. do not bother with the fajitas (reminded me of the bagged grocery store variety). i prefered the atmosphere andfoodwhen it was on main st but it's still worth a visit and like many eateries thefoodtastes better when it's busy.
it's not a fancy, fresh restaurant. if you like el fenix or ojeda's you will probably like it.

managers are super nice and considerate. thefoodcomes quick and it's very good tex mex. i would recommend

discerning taste. i have to make a comment about one of the negative reviews here on urban spoon about antonio’s. the reviewer has 26 reviews posted and each one is a bad review on various eateries except one positive one which said “rolls are good and very filling.” good or bad, read reviews with a discerning eye and your mouth will be happy. thank you, urban spoon, for being the mouthpiece for our mouths.

my place for guests. this is my go-to place for good tex-mex and i cannot catch this place on an “off” night because thefoodis always fresh, the staff pleasant and the meals are always delicious.

located on santa fe drive just off i20 on the southeast edge of weatherford, antonio’s is my favorite place to take quests because i know they will not be disappointed. many meals are about $7.50 with deluxe entrées up to 15 bucks. meals are not ordinary, but fresh, plated very well and stand out from other mexican restaurants.

at our last outing, i had “ana’s” plate, which featured a chubby burrito with marinated shredded chicken, a fresh crispy beef taco, salad and the usual bean and rice sides. the beans are particularly above ordinary with a smoky flavor and the salads are fresh and crispy. i chatted with our waiter about how we enjoy coming to his restaurant and he said he very much likes working there and would pass our compliments on to the manager. we had not planned dinner that night and i suggested running up the road to a taco bell. my wife said, “heck. for a few bucks more we can go to antonio’s and have a nice meal.” what a smart woman.

antonio's? mmmm. superbfoodthat is prepared and presented well - not just you average enchilada and beans. good service. my wife and i have been there four times, and the last time was for a wedding party of about 15 (call ahead for large groups). the waiter handled us perfect and thefoodwas hot. my guests were impressed. it is where i take out of town guests. good prices, too.

difference of opinions in the family.foodwas ok. not my favorite. my husband and daughter loved it. great service. we were seated fast considering we had a large group. i did not like the queso at all. they loved it. i didn't care for the chicken enchiladas. my daughter said it was the best.

greatfood& service. we used to go here years ago, but had abandoned the neighborhood restaurant when the chains moved in, but we've been here twice in the past few weeks & we are hooked again. thefoodis really good and the service is phenomenal! everyone working on both visits was pleasant and we got ourfoodreally fast both times.

if you are looking for traditional mexican cuisine this is not your place while thefoodwas good it was not what i expected

my wife and i didn't like our meals. chili con carne was just a gravy with a lot of chili powder. meat in thefoodwas bland, rice was bland, refried beans bland as well. taco cabana is better.

the best. i can't understand the negative reviews for this restaurant. weatherford has needed an excellent mexican restaurant and when antonio's showed up we hit the jackpot. this is the best mexicanfoodever. the hot sauce and chips are fresh and delicious. the entrees and enchiladas are the best i've ever had. i have never had a negative experience in all the time they have been here. the manager is awesome and the service was top notch. the servers deserve extra tips!

best in weatherford. i am not a weekly mecicanfoodperson but i love coming here. everything i get is good and the service is super fast and it stay busy all the time.

good food, good prices. this is one of my husband's favorite places to eat. every time he flies in from out of the country on humanitarian trips, it's the first place he wants to visit. it's probably not the most authentic or absolute best mexicanfoodin dfw, but i find they're very consistent with good food, good service, and always have budget-friendly prices. it's also a good place to take large groups because they don't make you wait until your whole party is there before they'll seat you, like a lot of big chains do now-days.
