quesadillas suck. nachos are good. beer is good.

i continue to be confused by the lack of recognition of this place! the food should not fall under the category of pub food. the food us much more sophisticated than that. i consistantly have great food here and i eat here atleast once a week. i ate a 2 big name restaurants in town in the last two weeks that claimed to have risotto. it was rice pilaf not risotto. abl has amazing rid every day. theirs apps and soups are amazing. they honestly can compete with any major "baltimore top 50" restaurant. baltimore magazine needs to wake up. eat here! you will love it!

if you have not tried duck fat fries then are certifiably insane! you will never be able to have any other fries again! oh yea, the rest of the food is just as delicious. great atmosphere, seats about 40 people.

i loved the whole vibe of this outlet. it was a nice experience. i thoroughly enjoyed my food and had a great time there. the staff was welcoming too.

this spot has been on my list for a long long time.  i have heard so many good things, and this post will likely confirm your thoughts.  i like it here.  the bartenders are delightful, but not exactly gregarious.  the drink selection is exactly what you would expect at a bar in canton – a basic selection of wines and spirits, including hendricks and bulleit, but nothing super unique or inspiring like at bar liquorice or of love and regret, and they certainly do not use any egg whites.

in canton , i’ve heard plenty of good things about annabel lee tavern . it’s got a nice edgar allen poe vibe and in the same week i received two recommendations to try it there (in addition to the countless recommendations i’ve heard in the past.) my friend laura has also been dying to try  annabel lee tavern  so we made a plan to grab dinner on a friday evening. fortunately we were able to grab a seat at the bar even though the place was packed. tip, call ahead and make a reservation! annabel lee tavern after looking over the menu, we decided to split a few things. first was the duck fat fries. we had both heard plenty of good things about them and they did not disappoint. the portion was huge and they were spiced/seasoned well. they’re also probably one of the most suggested items on the menu. duck fat fries next, we decided to try an order of the crispy brussels sprouts. the brussels sprouts had a honey herb drizzle and were delicious. they weren’t over-fried and greasy, also the honey herb drizzle was nice and light and provided a nice sweetness to the vegetable. crispy brussels sprouts lastly, we decided to share the bbq chicken and applewood smoked bacon nachos. now this dish was ridiculous and one of the best things i’ve eaten in a while. for starters, this portion was massive, i took home leftovers and had it for another meal and a half. second, there was a ton of melty cheese covering all of the chips and the bbq chicken was well marinated and added a nice flavor. and then how could anyone go wrong with bacon. if you’re at  annabel lee tavern , do yourself a favor and order the nachos. bbq chicken and applewood smoked bacon nachos if you’re in the mood for something in  canton , try  annabel lee tavern . you won’t be disappointed. annabel lee tavern  is located at 

a canton/highletown must visit. my fiance and i found this gem via urbanspoon and it was absolutely incredible. the beer selection is fantastic and the duck fat french fries are to die for. i had the corn flour crusted tilapia with corn and crab salsa special and it was absolutely amazing, my fiance had the tuna panini and she said it was to die for. i highly recommend this place to anyone who is remotely near the baltimore area, incredible food, great ambience and great service, will definitely be back again

great experience!!. we had a great experience going to the annabel lee tavern. the owner did it right by having great food, great art, and experience all in canton. the food quality was superb. i had the "annapolis", which was crab meat spread over top of chicken on a ciabatta bread with "upgraded" jalapeno fries. here is my ranking:
service: service was quick and fast, but the personalities of the staff were very dry.
ambiance: great art and look to the tavern. great local beers
price: i thought the price was excellent for the quality of food.
overall: excellent time and will be back!!

i've been wanting to try annabel lees for a while now and finally got my chance. the food was just as good as i was hoping. the atmosphere is great and the bartender could not have been more helpful with drink and food suggestions. we got the sweet potato fries for and appetizer and they were awesome! both of our meals were delicious too. i will definitely be going back!

tavern is small. packed to the gills at 9 pm. crowd died down by 10:30. food was delicious.

best food i've had so far in baltimore. atmosphere was great. don't miss the seafood bisque. don't miss the crab imperial stuffed shrimp over white wine risotto. sweet potato fries with a hint of spicy kick. chicken salad, best i've had anywhere. great beer selection (ask for samples!). all around a great experience.

great ... it just better and better. edgar allan poe would have loved this old tavern as much as he adored his beloved annabel lee. starting with crisp duck fries to the buffalo mushrooms to the tendered loin of beef it just doesn't get any better than this. from the bartenders to chefs they make you part of annabel lee experience! please don't miss this experience while in the area.

wonderful. unless you know about this place, you probably drive past it all the time and never give it a second thought. i thought it was going to be just some run down, hole in the wall bar but it was so much more! i was surprised at how nicely the place was decorated and how amazing the menu was. i love this place and can't wait to go back!

as opposed to harborque’s, the nachos are thoroughly baked and the cheese is melted like a boss. no naked chips, a despite the fact that bbq pulled pork is naturally superior (evolution, duh) to bbq chicken, the addition of bacon to the mix really adds that smokey awesomeness that can only be achieved by nature’s perfect food (bacon).
