the café is one of the most famous 'chaar dukan' part of 4 cafés situated in the heart of the sister's bazar at the highest point of mussoorie.
the place has to offer all what a café/dhaba can offer. ranging from hot parathas to the best pancakes in mussoorie at a very reasonable price.
one can go here with their family and have a nice filling lunch or go on a hot chocolate date and have pancakes.
we ordered stuffed parathas, hot coffee, bun omelette and chai and found the food to be very good and according to the price asked for.
however we found the manager to be a bit rude and the outside seating not enough, one has to wait for their turn to sit and have their food.
price for two- rs. 500/-

among the four shops in chaar dukaan area, we chose to try anilscafewhich apparently is the oldest one there. we ordered nutella pan cake, chilly cheese toast and cheese maggi. every single thing was so perfectly made with no flaw what so ever. the chilli cheese toast was absolutely delicious and simple with cheese bursting out and the pancakes were so soft and fresh. a must visit.! we were too hungry to stop and click the toast😋

recently visited landour for a family vacation and choosing anil'scafeamong other shops was random but ended very satisfied as the taste served by them was quite nice.
•the space is small added with wooden dinning tables outside & inside.
•service is fast and smooth
•best time to visit is early morning or in the evening.
•cheese parantha(₹110) - (3.9/5)
•mix parantha(₹120) - (4.2/5)
•veg steamed momos(₹70) - (3.8/5)
•1 plain(₹60) & 1 veggie maggie(₹70) - (4/5)
•cheese parantha is soft and cheesy but not upto the expectations(as i imagined) while mix parantha was yum.
•momos were common in taste and veggie maggie is recommendable. 👍

eating at anil’scafe(or any one of the now five shops that make up chaar dukaan) is all about nostalgia and love for food.

the dishes served at all the shops at chaar dukaan are similar with slight differences based on which shop you sit in. there’s bun omelette, pizza, pakoras, sandwiches, momos, and of course maggie.

one of the reasons why anil’scafeis recommended is because the proprietor is friendly and happy to converse and recommend. there’s a homely feel to the whole setting which is always appreciated.

the food though was a mixed bag with the momos falling just short of being completely steamed and the bum omelette while good, lacking any real flavours. the only saving grace is that they use a slightly sweet bun instead of the normal burger bun.

the onion and potato pakoras are recommended, even though slightly spicy for my standards. the kids loved the large portion of waffles and icecream. i particularly liked their ginger lemon tea.

don’t be fooled into thinking that either one of the chaar dukaan cafe’s are budget eats, although not as expensive as eating in a separate restaurant.

however, the weekend rush that comes up to landour means you will end up sitting next to a parking with cars backing and trying to manoeuvre out of tight spots leading to excessive pollution.

ratings:
food - 4/5
service - 5/5
location - 2/5 (while it would be a 4/5, the pollution on the sunday knocks away two points).

this tinycafeserves the best cheese maggi in mussoorie.
i tried their veg and non veg momos, and coffee!
the staff is really humble and helpful, and i cannot just express how it felt to have those amazing momos on hills.

anilscafeis one of the best cafes if you want to stop by at landour. it's also the oldest. no mussoorie trip has been complete without dropping in at anilscafeat char dukaan , landour. it's just a simple eatery but this guy makes everything so delicious. not to miss is of course the maggi , the momo's and the american style fluffy pancakes served with pancake syrup. and of course you have to finish off with a hot and freshly made ginger lemon tea served with honey to sooth off your throat and is absolutely so comforting in that weather.
