the café is one of the most famous 'chaar dukan' part of 4 cafés situated in the heart of the sister's bazar at the highest point of mussoorie.
the place has to offer all what a café/dhaba can offer. ranging from hot parathas to the best pancakes in mussoorie at a very reasonable price.
one can go here with their family and have a nice filling lunch or go on a hot chocolate date and have pancakes.
we ordered stuffed parathas, hot coffee, bunomelette and chai and found the food to be very good and according to the price asked for.
however we found the manager to be a bit rude and the outside seating not enough, one has to wait for their turn to sit and have their food.
price for two- rs. 500/-

not hunger, but the place bustling with people brought us here to try something.

we ordered honey ginger lemon tea, vegetable maggi andbunmaska.

our tea was superbly amazing. thebunmaska could have been a bit better though.

it's a small shop in landour but food is amazing!bunomelette and banana pancake is like a must try!!! i've tried the cheesebunomelette which is delicious. plus they serve one of the best banana pancakes, it has really soft and fluffy texture. they serve hot and delicious aloo paratha. they serve nice and warm ginger lemon tea and coffees. its a good breakfast place. overall loved the experience!

a greatbunomelette experience. a little noisy with all the tourists and dogs at char dukan, but we'll worth a try. char dukan is anil's. we have been visiting here for over 20 years.

eating at anil’s cafe (or any one of the now five shops that make up chaar dukaan) is all about nostalgia and love for food.

the dishes served at all the shops at chaar dukaan are similar with slight differences based on which shop you sit in. there’sbunomelette, pizza, pakoras, sandwiches, momos, and of course maggie.

one of the reasons why anil’s cafe is recommended is because the proprietor is friendly and happy to converse and recommend. there’s a homely feel to the whole setting which is always appreciated.

the food though was a mixed bag with the momos falling just short of being completely steamed and the bum omelette while good, lacking any real flavours. the only saving grace is that they use a slightly sweetbuninstead of the normal burger bun.

the onion and potato pakoras are recommended, even though slightly spicy for my standards. the kids loved the large portion of waffles and icecream. i particularly liked their ginger lemon tea.

don’t be fooled into thinking that either one of the chaar dukaan cafe’s are budget eats, although not as expensive as eating in a separate restaurant.

however, the weekend rush that comes up to landour means you will end up sitting next to a parking with cars backing and trying to manoeuvre out of tight spots leading to excessive pollution.

ratings:
food - 4/5
service - 5/5
location - 2/5 (while it would be a 4/5, the pollution on the sunday knocks away two points).

visited this place. the owner anil ji is polite and helpful. it is a very small place with two covers inside and a few outside the shop. they offer a good variety of snacks breakfast etc. the service is quick. the aloo paratha and the cheese paratha both are very good. thebunomelet is ok. one should keep a lookout for the monkeys who try to get your food.
