like a delicious old-time picnic with homemade sides. we sat out on the picnic benches on a beautiful, sunny saturday, and it felt (and tasted) like we were at an old-time barbecue with homemade side dishes. you just don't get quality, home-stylefoodlike this anymore when you eat out. from the barbecue, to the lemonade to the potato salad and baked beans, everything is seasoned perfectly with a touch of home. whether you're eating inside or outside, this deliciousfoodalways makes it feel like picnic time!

comfortfoodat it's best. andy nelson's may pride themselves on their slow and meticulous preparations for their bbq, but i love this place for it's quick, friendly service and the delicious food. i have yet to meet a menu item i didn't like! dixie wings, brisket, corn bread, and macaroni and cheese are all amazing. i have a hard time deciding if i want to try something new or stick with my favorites every time i go. luckily, i am a rewards member, and the coupons make it easier to try new items with the knowledge that i will be back again soon!

andy nelson's barbecue is always a special treat! from the delectablefooditems, the absolutely wonderful staff (they are a great "team"), and the "atmosphere" where folks can dine indoors and outdoors are just a few of the reasons dining here is a great thing to do. 👍🏻

it's a weekly lunch stop for me!! drive-thru or in the restaurant, the staff is always friendly and personable. thefoodjust doesn't disappoint. ever. the sides are spectacular! the ambiance in the restaurant is wonderful, especially if andy sr. is in attendance with his friends, and you're lucky enough to overhear their stories!!! if you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in...

great bbq!. andy's is the place to come for authentic smoked southern barbecue . my sons and i come on average of twice a month. pit beef is amazing and the chicken, when prepared hot ,is moist and delicious . corn bread is the best around and on thursdays you can get great cranberry sause all year around. i sound like a shill but , we keep coming back for the great food.

great bbq. as usual our almost weekly trip to andy's is great. taste is always consistant with the rich smokey flavor.the best bbq in the area.weather it is pit beef ,brisket tips , chicken or other entrees always great.

best bbq in this region. if you want the best bbq chicken and meats in mid atlantic region it's andy nelson's . the chicken is fall off the bone tender, smokey and delicious. pit beef is tender and for the most part lean cut. tater wedges are great and not fried and the corn bread is one of the best i've eaten. thefoodis good enough that we eat there most weeks and we catered my sons high school graduation with andy's as well. if you like real southern bbq this is it.

best bbq we eaten in the area. the chicken is moist , tender, and delicious. the brisket tips and, pit beef are incredible. we brought my brother and sister in law for dinner and they thoroughly enjoyed the other items and sides on the menu. their apple cake fabulous as well. the prices are reasonable and the employees are helpful and attentive to your needs. as long as they keep it fresh and delicious we'll keep coming back every week .

great little bbq spot. don't look for fancy. this restaurant is very rustic which is part of its charm. thefoodis affordable and of very high quailty. i highly recommend the beef brisket and apple cake.this is one of my favorite spots.

if we're not eating at home, we're probably at andy nelson's. we moved to the area in 2012 and andy nelson's quickly became one of our favorite things about hunt valley.

don't miss the pulled pork sandwich with a generous pile of cole slaw and a splash of guy's pig dip on it, accompanied by their genuine sweet tea. our other favorites: bbq beef sandwich, beef brisket sandwich, corn bread, mac & cheese, black eyed peas and collard greens.

great food, great service - don't miss this!. we love andy nelson's because we can count on it for greatfoodand superior customer service.
we've tried nearly everything on their menu and have never been disappointed, but our old stand-bys are the pulled pork and bbq beef. their sweet tea is as authentic as you can get, and if you're lucky, they'll have fresh banana pudding.
aside from the mouth-watering menu, the customer service keeps us coming back. in a world of disappointing/frustrating customer service, andy nelson's knows how to treat their guests well. you'll get helpful, friendly service with a smile. and their rewards program is outstanding -- we get coupons for freefoodalmost faster than we can use them.
the one and only time i had a slightly unpleasant customer service experience, i mentioned it in a follow up survey and received a personal response from andy nelson, jr. he apologized and promised to address the issue promptly. it was a very minor issue and i wasn't expecting a response at all, but i appreciated knowing that they take customer feedback seriously. it shows, because there are a lot of supremely satisfied fans of andy nelson's out there!

what's not to like?. excellent chicken, ribs and pulled turkey. the greens are the best! those chain bbq restaurants can't compete with thefoodquality and service you will find at andy nelsons!

great pulled pork and ribs, but don't forget the chicken, it's fantastic. be sure to try the collards. you can't go wrong by ordering grampa guys trificta. try it, you can thank me later!

not my cup of tea. huge bbq fan. i eat it all over the country. i was really excited after reading all of the great reviews. now i`m not a huge fan of vinegar based q, but i`ve had some i liked. just not here. the pulled pork is dipped in "pig sauce" very vinegary and the sauce is heavy on the vinegar too. with the dip and sauce, i couldn`t even taste the meat. it`ll make a pickle pucker. and the ribs were so heavy with rub, i couldn`t taste the meat either. the pulled pork might have been good if you could get it without the pig sauce, but it has it on it when they serve it. when i travel, i only seek out bbq places to eat. its my favoritefoodin the world and i`ve eaten tons of it. this was only the second time ever that i didn`t want to finish my food. had e few bites of sandwich and 2 ribs that i threw in the trash because the vinegar was just too much. staff was beyond great and the iced tea is fantastic. very disappointed.

greatfood& service. worth the drive from gettysburg. have met andy sr. & jr., both great guys. though sticky fingers in south carolina was good, but andy's sure beats them. would advise one and all to visit andy's

thefoodis outstanding- the brisket melts in my mouth.
the corn bread is real southern style and- well i could go on and on.
you decide for yourself- open the door and you ge hit with the smell of hickory.

best bbq anywhere!!!. we've been going to andy's for years. it is without a doubt the best bbq anywhere. we have tried other bbq places, but the variety and quality offoodis unsurpassed.

best bbq around!!. greatfoodin a great friendly atmosphere with rhythm and blues and rock and roll from the 50's and 60's constantly playing.

it is the favorite place for my sons and i to have lunch. my wife and sister love it too!
