andy nelson's bbq. is there any better food to take to a raven's game on sunday? i can't think of one. on the other hand, spending time at andy's on york is well worth fighting the traffic in timonium! outside of rudi's in texas, best bbq i have had.

great bbq. i first had their food at a party they catered and it was fantastic.....since then whenever i am in the area, i stop by for lunch. the brisket, pulled pork and pit beef/turkey are as good as any in balto area..... you can't go wrong here for a cheap, great sandwich for lunch.

this restaurant is named for its owner former baltimore colts football star, andy nelson. this restaurant and successful catering establishment has accolades galore for its barbeque...

baltimore bbq. i had heard baltimore doesn't have much for good bbq, but andy nelson's does have it. this place looks and feels like a typical bbq joint. nothing fancy, but good food. the pulled pork is very good, beans, cole slaw, and homefries are all better than most other bbq joints. i thought the jumbo portion for the pit beef and pulled pork sandwiches a little light for the price and the 'jumbo' size, but still very tasty. i will be going back many times to try as much of the menu as i can.

wasn't great, wasn't terrible. a tad bit expensive considering the alternative down the street.

don't forget the chicken!. i often dine with a nice lady who is "not a meat person". when we go to andy's, there is no despair. the chicken is slow-cooked and very tender. get the beans on the side - very will flavored. andy nelson is originally from memphis, so he knows what is authentic. a nice place to take the whole family.
