my husband and i decided it was such a beautiful evening yesterday that we would go to andora in sewickley for dinner on their outdoor patio. we like to enjoy the alfresco dining at andora. it is such a treasure. the fall evening was beautiful. the waiter, steve, made the evening more enjoyable. andora has such friendly, personable waite staff. i always enjoy going there. i enjoyed my crab cakes and my husband enjoyed his spicy pasta dish. we have been going to andora for many years and i must say it is a restaurant that is consistently good. never a disappointment. keep up the good work.

will be back for more!. andora is one of my top choices of restaurants in the city. i have been going there for years and never tire of thefoodand friendly service. they continue this tradition in their newer fox chapel and cranberry locations. in the summer the outside areas at each location is beyond compare. it is always a treat to experience a lovely night with a glass of wine, excellentfoodand friendly service. they always have additional specials to add to their extensive menu. the selections available will please any palate. the warm cobble dessert with ice cream is a great choice to finish the meal. my family and i look forward to enjoying future lunches and dinners at andora. keep up the good work!

best place to eat. my family and i love eating at andora sewickley! we always feel very comfortable. our waitress janet was very attentive and pleasant. ourfoodcame out promptly and was warm, delicious, and flavored to perfection.we ordered the zucchini and the tortilla soup and were very impressed how flavorful and eloquently plated our appetizers were. the fish of the day is always fresh and surprisingly different! we are very pleased!

andora is a great restaurant. thefoodquality, ambience and service have been outstanding for years. it is probably the best place in pittsburgh for outdoor dining. over the years, i have tried almost all their entrees and loved them. their salads are tasty and healthy.finally, i can't say enough about their various fruit cobblers, other than they are addicting ! the bar is very cozy. finally, the prices are very reasonable and lunch entrees are a real value.

not the same. we have eaten here many times in the past, in the summer we like to sit outside and enjoy the sun. but the past few visits thefoodhas been poor, the sauce they us is now the same on all thefooditem's. four of us went friday night for a meal and all ourfoodwas cold or undercooked, sorry the soup was hot. the wait staff is also different, non attentive and would rather talk or text than wait on a table. i believe this will be the last time we eat here for awhile

good food, okay service. we sat out on the patio for my birthday dinner. great space outside on the patio! service was mediocre. we waited a good 10 minutes before being served.foodwas good. i got the crab cakes - lots of lump crab meat - very good. the goat cheese appetizer and calamari was phenomenal. atomosphere is great. service was just a little slow.

over priced and lifeless meal. i was so looking forward to going to the andora restaurant because of all of the great things i read online about it. however after having been shoved back into the corner by the door on my first visit there (yes, i had a reservation!)...the whole meal was average and over priced. the attention given to the table by the waiter was obligatory, minimal and slighting--the bloody mary drinks we ordered were tasteless, small and very unexciting. the whole time i consumed my meal (only because why would anyone leavefoodthey paid so much for) i kept thinking, "what if i were a restaurant critic---this meal is crap, and i can have a better tasting plate offoodat some local bar that i wouldn't eat at anyhow."

if you are searching for high class service--a creative menu that speaks the talent of a creative chef, and true ambiance...go to either d'imperio's in monroeville to have your taste buds tingled, or ruth's chris in downtown pittsburgh for the ambience, the menu and the service.

very disappointed. i recommended andora to out of town guests remembering excellent experience several years back. we met in the bar, and our poor service experience started with the bartenders, who ignored our entrance despite relatively few patrons. we had to practically beg to be served. for dinner we were seated in the outdoor patio (beautiful, by the way). we ordered salads - the caesar salads were mediocre for the price. two of us ordered beef - different cuts, one salmon, and one pasta. the result reminded me of my personal adage, "when in doubt, order pasta, because it's difficult to screw up." both cuts of beef were overcooked, and one was to medium rare. the salmon was as dry as a bone. not sure if thefoodwas really overcooked or just left sitting. we should have returned the lot but didn't want to ruin the overall happy mood of the group. at $50+ per person, andora was a huge disappointment. also, i would suggest more carefully selecting and training servers - ours acted as if she were more comfortable pole dancing than servingfoodand drink. andora no more!

not fine dinning. the staff was filling salt and pepper shakers as we arrived. one server was wiping glasses with the same cloth she wiped the chairs with after the glasses. the bread was unbaked and doughy. the waiter was not receptive to comments and said speak to the manager. thefoodwas cold. the manager said all the practices were part of their program. i commented all these housekeeping task should be completed before the meat but he said that was their policy. i thought the idea of a fine restaurant was to sere the customer not work for the staff. i would not go back and will tell friends of this experience.

on saturday evening, our party of 12 arrived promptly at 7:30 for our confirmed reservation only to be stuck for one hour standing in the bar area waiting for our tables to be available. (apparently the other large party there would not leave, we were told later.) since many other people we waiting in the bar area, it made me wonder if this restaurant had overbooked for the night.

once seated, we were given a complimentary round of drinks and 2 trays of appetizers(several fried items.) service was promptly, but fairly inconsistent with reminders for drinks ordered and silverware throughout the meal.

i enjoyed my salad thoroughly. the asparagus had a delicious wood-grilled flavor, although the goat cheese mousse topping was hard and difficult to enjoy with the salad greens. my crabcake was excellent - mainly crab with little filler. my filet was cooked nicely but somewhat dry. sides of green beans and mashed potatoes were very nice. i enjoyed a huge slice of lemon marscapone cake for dessert. everyone else at the table appeared to be very happy with their food.

worth the wait? thefoodwas very good, but standing in heels for an hour on a tiled bar floor tends to color my opinion. the restaurant was so crowded and loud, it really affected my enjoyment of the meal. maybe on a less busy weekday, i would have enjoyed andora more.

worth the drive. i went to andora after hearing good things about it. i went with my mom and her friend so i was at their mercy and i loved it. we had a zucchini appetizer that was rolled and stuffed with parmesan, mozzarella, and asiago cheeses and it seemed to be baked, then laid on top of a roasted or red pepper sauce. it was dee-lish! not the usual breaded, fried and tomato sauce on the side zucchini app, which was great because i love zucchini and it delivered. after that i had the crab cake. it was lunch so there was just one but it was pretty big and almost all meat. we were perplexed as to how they get it to stay in a ball because it really seems like it's all lump meat. it was on some kind of sauce and served with fresh green beans that were cooked perfectly.

i really enjoyed thefoodand i will go back again. i hear they have a nice deck but i didn't see it and the bathroom was clean and nice as well.
