delicious fare.
ordered a huge assortment of food here and was impressed by each and every dish. it's a restrained (in quantity) menu but adventurous in spirit, with fantastic options such as the pigs ears, sweetbreads, fennel and goats cheese sorbet, and even the german spätzle pasta. i love asian food, and coupled with the modern australian/european twists, i was very impressed.disheswere moorish, perfectly cooked, and varied in their influences from thai to chinese.
highlights were the pigs ears, sweetbread, and lamb dishes. the latter two were complete and well rounded meals, with a great balance between all the elements. the hot, sweet, spicy, and umami flavours were a dance in the mouth.
service was up to task for the venue, although nothing above what you'd expect for this type of establishment. friendly and helpful the whole way though, without any pretentiousness, but just a little rough around the edges.
all in all, a beautiful meal and the views is top notch. whilst not perfect, for where it is and what you're paying, it's a solid five stars from me.
