great burger and fries. a friend and i went for thegreekburger. no tonly was the burger outstanding, the fries had a great seasoning on them. the beer was ice cold. a great experience overall.

a million beers there and a few of the greatgreekburgers.  drove down from nashville a month ago and had the ribs. oh my goodness!!!!! who knew???? this is from a patron of alex's since 1961,  (3yrs 0ld).

as far as dry rub ribs go, alex's was very good and far better than places like the overrated and over hyped rendezvous, but the tender and juicy ribs are awesome in alex's barbecue sauce. to describe exactly how the sauce taste is bit difficult for a novice like me, butgreekspices gives it a distinctive flavor that is unlike anything i had before.

best burgers i've ever had!. we wanted some burgers for dinner tonight but i wasn't feeling huey's tonight. i wasn't sure what to expect since i parked on the neighborhood side and walked in from the back. we ordered thegreekburgers with cheese and fries andgreekstyle drummies with ranch. that's the first time i've ever finished a whole restaurant burger in one sitting. it was amazing! the burger was cooked perfectly with a nice crust. the drummies were so yummy and crispy too. the fries were crispy outside, melt in your mouth inside!!!! we've found my newest favorite burger spot! maybe we'll try the ribs next!

bar food greatness!. i've been dropping in for about 7 years, mostly for late-night take-out food orders. the go-to for me are their hot wings, and they are great. hot n spicy, good n tasty flavor. their original tastinggreekwings are great (worcestershire sauce-like base, i think). get the wings specially double-dipped gor a super new taste! the cheeseburger is great. the thick cut fries are great and seasoned mightily fine. the chicken tenders aren't my favorite...but they are good, too. what isn't great? the fact that, after eons of drop-ins, i have yet to try the ribs, shrimp, or gumbo. i hear they are all great, and i do not doubt it one bit. i highly recommend this place. chill environment, awesome bartenders rob and johnny, hdtvs with sports or movies going, killer jukebox, college and midtown folk, young and some older...just a bad-ass bar. they have beer, too. duh. didn't mention that one. i really just go for the food. trust me. dig in!

greek burger!. nothing fancy here, plastic cups and foam plates. i recommend thegreekburger. a good place to grab a beer and hang out. bring cash because they don't take credit cards or debit cards.

i have been a rabid fan of cozy corner and still say they have among the best bbq in memphis... except ribs. seriously... these ribs are insanely good. they are cooked perfectly. its a peppery, garlicky bark with meat that glides from the bone. that's right ... glides.

we got two racks to take home along with beans and slaw. the beans were among the best i have ever had.

the second trip i got thegreekburger to go with fries. these are my kind of fries. thick cut... crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. they are definitely seasoned well again with garlicky peppery goodness.

thegreekburger is as good as any burger i have ever had. the patty is think and prepared with loving hands.

but even better than the burger is the gumbo. shrimp. chicken. sausage. well seasoned. ....might even be as good as the ribs... by far the best gumbo i have had in memphis and rivals some places on the coast.

its definitely a bar atmosphere. if that's not your thing get it to go... but i can tell you this place does not disappoint. ..

each bite was mouthwateringly juicy and loaded with that pepperygreekflavor.

our meal was absolutely amazing! look at those ribs. the meat just fell off the bone. the wings were tasty. i prefer thegreekwings, but if you like your wings hot, they have you covered. the shrimp and the gumbo were also really good. and then there was thegreekburger...
