aladdin café

4.5 rating because i just wasn't a fan of the gyros but i loved the rose lemonade,pitabread with feta and olives and the rice! i took a bite of my friends chicken and it was super yummy.
i'm gonna try something different if i go again!

the food was edible. not anywhere near the best mediterranean food i've ever eaten. we had the aladdin gyro with greek salad. the meat was decent and thepitawas wonderful but the sauce was runny and instead of spreading the vegetables out on the sandwich all of them were lumped together at the very end which you couldn't tell because the way the sandwich was wrapped up. the baklava had been microwaved so the dough was tough and impossible to cut but it did have decent flavor. the staff was awful. we have been treated better at mc donalds. the waitress slammed our order down and then ignored us the rest of the meal. she brought our check over and dropped it on the table with out asking if we wanted desert or if we needed anything else and walked away. i had to flag her down to order the baklava. she then rolled her eyes at us. apparently as punishment for daring to order desert she then left our bill on the table for 25 minutes before she bothered to collect it for us to pay. we were not impressed and will not go back.

the appetizer trio is out of this world, especially the genie sauce. i had the kifka and hummuspitasandwich, and would highly recommend it. also, they have the best lentil soup i've ever tastes. while they don't serve alcohol, you can pay $2.50 a person and bring your own. we definitely took advantage of that!

aladdin cafe - the return. due to request, i returned to aladdin for the second time this week. much to my liking, the flies were not dinner guests today, which made the experience much nicer. the owner was my server, and i found him quite personable. his banter with my table made lunch very enjoyable. on his recomendation, i tried the lentil soup, which was very good, with my entree of roasted eggplant which was incredibly delicious. served alongside the eggplant was rice which had the most tasty tomato sauce on it that i have had in a long time. i was very pleased with my lunch selection. i would highly recommend the roasted eggplant. those dining with me had the chicken schwarma (likely spelled incorrectly)pitaand the dill chicken pita. the chicken schwarma was not as good as those that i have had in the past, but certainly tasty. the dill chicken was wonderful. the garlic potato sauce that was served along with it was a delight. with my second visit being so pleasant, and the food once again delivering, aladdin has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

aladdin cafe. i am a huge fan of jerusalem cafe, so i was kind of wary to try aladdin. however, i found myself pleasantly surprised. besides the annoying two flies that were buzzing about and the warmer than comfortable temperatures, the experience was a good one. i ordered the aladdin salad and the shrimp and feta appetizer, both of which were very good. the shrimp and feta was perfectly seasoned and the salad was a good portion with a nice tangy dressing. those dinning with me had the chicken tikka, which was superb, and the gyro platter, which was also very good. the chicken tikka was absolutely delicious, and came with a nice portion of good hummus. though i am a die hard fan of jerusalem, i would definitely return to aladdin cafe for a change of pace - i'd just order my food to go next time.

awesome. best salad i have ever had a a greek or middle eastern restaurant! the key is the unique and wonderful dressing. it leaves you craving it for days. thepitabread is also the freshest and softest i have ever had.

i am a falafel addict..... so i like to think i have a lot of experience with good and bad falafel. i love the falafel here! so good. get the falafel and hummuspitasandwich. they also have great outdoor seating when the weather is nice.
