al shurfa arabic lounge

can't believe i didn't know about this place for so long. the service is great, and the shisha is prettygoodtoo. they have both outdoor (love the view) and indoor seating. only thing is they are open only till midnight. but during ramadan they are open till 2.00am. will definitely come back and totally recommend it!

the food wasnt really worth the price . tbough the ambience wasgoodas one can have a great view of the skyline.

one of the gems of souq waqif. absolutely love the ambience & the food. this lounge is on the 2nd floor of al jomrok hotel.

had their business lunch - qar 49 (without drinks) set menu - starter, main course & dessert

food was very delicious! taste type - local cuisine, lebanese, cafe, mediterranean, middle eastern, arabic

roof top restaurants are always my favorite. you can view the entire corniche from the roof top. i loved the ambience. thank you so much ! it was a perfect evening .goodselection of sheeshas.must visit place to hangout with ur friends/ partner . moroccan tea is a must when u have such yummy food .

the location and the view of / from this place are very nice. it's located right above gymkhana, so in a way it's in the heart of the souq. the outdoor seating allows for gulf views across the corniche. said that, the outdoor seating is cramped with very little space to walk. we ordered the assorted hot & cold mezze platter and jawaneh djej (chicken wings) for starters. the platter is unimpressive with bite size portions which is served with excessive pita bread to ensure you feel full. the main course was a mix grill and a pasta. although the taste and the presentation of the mix grill was above average, the portioning was disappointing.

we ordered a shisha, the flavour for which you choose from an impressively presented and equally ample range of flavours. the shisha also comes with ice in the tray which allows for a refreshing change from your regular shisha; but it is definitely not cheap. adding on a couple of mocktails, a soft drink and a cup of tea, we ended up paying 400 qar for 4 (after we got a 15% discount), which is definitely much higher than your standard souq cafes. basically a tourist trap withgoodviews.

ambience- loved d terrece part with a view of the ocean and doha..
food- budget friendly n taste wise delicious morrocon tea is quitegoodhere...
overallgoodexperience would love to visit it soon...

came here once before food wasgoodbut it was quite busy, as it was the weekend.
upon my second visit, the staff were all friendly except for one. i voiced my complaints to the manager and they apologised and also provided complimentary drinks and dessert! was very appreciative of the fact that we managed to resolve the situation and the later experience turned into a wonderful one! would recommend that you visit!

i later found out the unfriendly member had left the team.

the sheesha here is amazing ! 2nd fav out of all that ive tried ! i could literally taste lemon in lemon mint,which i mostly don't taste from any other place, blue mix & mint is amazing !

we ordered hummus which came with very soft bread & was quiet good,mix grill wasgoodbut not worth the price and very less quantity, karak was delicious , sangria was just ordinary didnt liked it much, lounge breeze was amazing in this heat !

over all wasgoodservice is fine ambiance is fine ! the rating is because of the sheesha which i loved !

this is one of my favorite places at the souq. unfotunately i don't have any pictures from it but let me describe it to you very simply.

- best view at the souq
- amazing shisha (you have to try the bluberry mint or peach flavors!) and the amazing view of the skyline compliments the shisha experience
- reallygoodfood,goodpizza and i also really liked their shish tawook
- also verygooddrinks, i tried their lemon mint which was really nice, they also have agoodvariety of other drinks and milkshakes!

it is at a hotel's top floor. the balcony seats are the best!

a little pricey but worth it!

i like the place cos its showing beautiful view for doha city.. they serve best morrocon tea and sishaa.. but they need to improve their menu may be they can put another variety of food and appetizer. reallygoodplace to chill out after ur busy day at work
the staff also very friendly especially reda and medina..

one of these places you go to for their view and thats about it..
plus points: its not crowded or busy most of the times, you can watch your favorite football team playing on one of their huge screens and enjoy agoodsheesha.

the food/drinks: we didnt try much, stuffed vine leaves (lacked lemon and salt) , kebbeh (was okey), cheesecake and dates cake (definitely not the best), turkish coffee with milk (there was somthing wrong with the milk, so thick and yoghurty!! was so bad)

the service: they were welcoming and gave us some blankets coz we were cold, but when we sat on a table that had spilled water on it, he told us to move to another table instead of wiping it ! which we did and they never cared to wipe that other table which we found weird!
our order of one (already displayed) cake and 2 drinks took around half an hour or even more, so its fair to say that it was a slowww service :/

we went here last june 29th after our iftar.. the shisha isgood(we had apple mint i think) and the prices are okay.. the best thing is the ambience and the scenery if you sit in their porch.. quiet and pleasant.. i will definitely com back..
