great ambience love the cozy huge sofas. nice selection of sheeshas, tri3d d blueberry, gum, mint and d strong one . i love my mint. the deserts were ok and lime n mint was refreshing. the sheesha guy was fab and lightened the mood

the location and the view of / from this place are very nice. it's located right above gymkhana, so in a way it's in the heart of the souq. the outdoor seating allows for gulf views across the corniche. said that, the outdoor seating is cramped with very little space to walk. we ordered the assorted hot & cold mezze platter and jawaneh djej (chicken wings) for starters. the platter is unimpressive with bite size portions which is served with excessive pita bread to ensure you feel full. the main course was a mix grill and a pasta. although the taste and the presentation of the mix grill was above average, the portioning was disappointing.

we ordered a shisha, the flavour for which you choose from an impressively presented and equally ample range of flavours. the shisha also comes with ice in the tray which allows for a refreshing change from your regular shisha; but it is definitely not cheap. adding on a couple of mocktails, a soft drink and a cup of tea, we ended up paying 400 qar for 4 (after we got a 15% discount), which is definitely much higher than your standard souq cafes. basically a tourist trap with good views.

ambience- loved d terrece part with a view of the ocean and doha..
food- budget friendly n taste wise delicious morrocon tea is quite good here...
overall good experience would love to visit it soon...

if you want to enjoy smoking hookah outside with a corniche view, then this is the place. i tried their umm ali and i enjoyed it. i will be back again with my shisha friends.

highlights: ambience; mixed grill

we ordered:
- mixed grill (lamb kofta, shish kebab, shish taouk, lamb chops, grilled vegetables, wedges with garlic sauce). juicy lamb chops and kebabs. i was honestly quite surprised by the juicy kebabs and chops.
- hummus. very light; generously garnished with olive oil;
- fries. a cross between fries and wedges.
- moroccan tea.
- sparkling water & lemon.

ambience: when the weather is good, you must sit outside unless shisha smoke bothers you; it’s so nice to watch people pass by and observe families with their children; october nights aren’t too humid or warm.

service: friendly and attentive.

cost: qr 158 for 2.

verdict: would i go again? for the relaxing ambience when the weather is good, yes.

came here once before food was good but it was quite busy, as it was the weekend.
upon my second visit, the staff were all friendly except for one. i voiced my complaints to the manager and they apologised and also provided complimentary drinks and dessert! was very appreciative of the fact that we managed to resolve the situation and the later experience turned into a wonderful one! would recommend that you visit!

i later found out the unfriendly member had left the team.

al shurfa arabic restaurant = i had a delicious meal here last night with superb views over the corniche and downtown. the service by aymen was fantastic. i highly recommend the mint and lemon juice.... delicious!

this restaurant is great! the atmosphere is super cozy and the shisha is phenomenal. ask for ayman for shisha service. he is very attentive and pleasant!! always a pleasure!

i visited al shufra with my sisters and service was amazing. we had food as well which was pretty cool and tasty. prices are acceptable and they have a lot of variance of shisha flavors. i am staying in doha for 3 years but i never try ummali tasty that they have. we had a meat wraps and they way of presentation is very nice. i would like to say thank you to chef askat, sher,niayaz and bektur. we had an amazing time.

we were greeted warmly by aymen, who was lovely, he seated us at a low table and bought the menus. he explained all the food to us and left us to choose. to start we chose the cold mezzah plate to share - which was just delightful. six different types of arabic dips including hummus, fresh feta, tabouli, baba ghanoush - all of it so fresh. not what we are used to at home. we then chose the mixed grill - again to share. this was beautiful - grilled lamb chop, chicken kebab, steak kebab, and lamb a kofa. all this was served with roasted vegetables. there was plenty of food and we felt guilty that we didn't finish it all. to drink we had fresh fruit juice cocktails. prices were reasonable, the service by all was superb and views were a night time wonder of lights. so if you are looking for truely local cuisine, this is the place to come. thank you aymen, we will return when next in doha.

i have found this restaurant on tripadvisor, and i am not sorry. great location in the city centre, very friendly staff (sher) and i loved the food. we orderd hot and cold apertizers and it was true arabic food. not to forget very cool shisha :)

their shisha has deteriorated badly. it used to be a great spot to hang out with and great view, but if you're a shisha fan, this place may not be your best spot in town. they use their shishas for all flavors, not separate shishas for different flavors. so, when you order your shisha with, say grape flavor, it comes with tasting like everything; a fruit-salad shisha!

al shurfa arabic lounge has the best turkish coffee! as well as amazing shisha flavors. highly recommend "blue mix" which is a blue berry shisha flavor. amazing outdoor seating with a wonderful view on doha's corniche. perfect staff and treatments. top hookah lounge in doha

a great place to spend the evening. it provides a really cosy ambiance perfect to unravel a stressful day.
the food was really good, we ordered pasta, shish touq, chicken wings and a cocktail and there was nothing i could complain on.
the staff was great as well and as for the shisha i recommend blue mix one of the best shishas i have tried so far.
a must visit place💪🏽
