absolutely adore this place for delicious lebanese cuisine. amazing flavours, great portions, and good service - plus reasonably priced. i found other outlets to be not nearly as great as the greenacre one, which was disappointing. i visited the newtown restaurant and the food was dry, lacked taste, and they had a much more limited menu than greenacre - ugh, why! will stick to the original thanks.

food is great! big portions and plenty for everyone. drink service is a hassle! it was suppose to be endless softdrinks but they take time refilling it and you wait ages for a drink

al aseel is a chain of very popular lebanese restaurants in sydney. the restaurant has won many awards since opening over a decade ago and continues to attract a huge crowd, i consider al aseel my favourite lebanese restaurant and judging by how busy it is i’m certainly not the only one.

one of my most favourite restaurants. so close to mums food, it's a great option when you can't go home to mum :) only downside is there is no byo wine. but their banquets are phenomenal!

we dined here on sunday night. the place was busy but service was quick. food was tasty, would recommend chicken ribs - juicy and flavoursome, mansaf lamb -tender lamb with crunchy nuts. nice casual family friendly dining atmosphere.

a group of us dined here on sunday lunch and ordered a banquet menu.
the place was packed but after a little wait we were seated in a big table.
i have to say this has to be the best lebanese food i had in sydney.
fattoush salad was just devine, it was so crunch and tangy. i am a pollo pescitarian so i didn't have meat dishes, but all other friends say it was fantatsic.
my friends who accompained are lebanese and they said food here tastes like eating at lebannon, very authentic.  dips were really great also i am not really a fan of falafel usually but i loved ones i ate at this restaurant they were perfectly crunch outside inside was soft and tasty.  for main i had garlic chicken in skewers - oh my, they were just great. soft and perfectly cooked chicken breast pieces with delicous garlic sauce.  we were all extremely full after the lunch, with plenty of doggy bags for all of us.
service was fast and attentive. i am soooo coming back here again.

al aseel's chicken breast was a pleasant surprise! they were sooooo tender and absolutely yummy. loved the smokiness in the baba ganoush and the other dips were more-ish which all went well with the complementary lebanese bread.

the most triible services i've ever had. last weekend i went to this restaurant based on advise by a lebanese friend. the restaurant was full of smoke and smokers were all around open and close spaces. when we asked to change our table to a none smoker area the servants were annoyed and told us this restaurant is smoke free!!! such a shame! i would never go back to such a unhealthy environment even the food was good.

no alcohol allowed. food great but my host was very embarrassed when a waiter asked him to remove a bottle of wine he had brought indicating that consuming alcohol in the restaurant was discouraged/frowned upon. in the end a compromise of sorts was reached whereby the water supplied soft drink glasses and the bottle was kept on the floor. there is no indication anywhere that drinking alcohol is not permitted. obviously, we wont be returning.

nice food but service not very good. banquet not really worth the $40 you pay. think i'll try the newtown one but order individual dishes instead of the banquet.

probably best to make a booking quite a long wait (sat night)
service was great food was fantastic especially the lemon garlic chicken or the rice dish w/ pine nuts yummm
only advice would be to give people waiting a menu to look at and offer dessert
