great service and food. wow. we had the offmenutomatoe basil panne cotta stack. everyday wow. so good. service was great. awesome experience

exquisitely prepared celebration for two!. we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with a romantic weekend in downtown tucson. our dinner at augustin was one of the highlights! themenuwas creative and varied, the preparation and presentation were superlative, and the service was a perfect balance of welcoming and intimate. the attention given to providing guests with gluten-free options was deeply appreciated and enabled us to dine without our usual concerns of gluten contamination (i have celiac disease and cannot digest gluten from wheat, which can make dining out a challenge).
the atmosphere at augustin's is cool and hip yet elegant and tasteful at the same time. the staff is very well educated regarding themenuand wine list and are very helpful making various selections. the signature drinks from the bar are especially inventive and were a real treat. the live band located in the mercado courtyard the evening we visited played a perfect mix of jazz and big band classics that set a romantic tone without being invasive. this evening was absolutely an exemplary culinary high point for us in a 25-year-long marriage marked by many outstanding meals at restaurants in new york city and europe. if you are in tucson and seeking a "special" evening out, dinner at augustin's is not to be missed!! indulge your pallet and savor this experience!!

nailing it. upon arriving at the soft opening sunday evening it was apparent that final appointments were not all complete. those distractions soon evaporated as i picked up the drinkmenuand was whisked away to new york, chicago, l.a. and other places where i first experienced remarkable new flavors. the roasted pepper infused margarita puts tucson on the map. if you’ve experienced chef clark’s food at the dish or the lodge, be prepared for the next evolution. of the six appetizers, two salads, and five entrees sampled, i could not declare a favorite (although the perfectly prepared salmon before me was not to be shared). the peaches that finished the evening were reminiscent of east coast excellence. service was good and prices reasonable. for quality food exquisitely prepared in a comfortable environment, chef clark has nailed it.
