we have met the god of new orleans cooking in pdx, and on their best nites, new orleans legends like commander's or galatoire's aspire to present a meal as fantastic as acadia did tonight. mrs. burgerdogboy and i headed out to savor the special reveillon dinner at acadia. in french culture, the reveillon is a long meal traditionally held on christmas eve or new year's day. acadia's reveillon was not particularly long lasting timewise, but it was long on flavor, cuisine steeped in acadiana (louisiana franch

food and service was great! different than any other restaurant in portland. be sure you like rum and creole before you go, not a lot of non-louisiana style food choices.

not only does acadia have there're best food (tastes that just linger with mmmmmm) they have the best wait staff ever. so many restaurants in portland have these annoying hipsters who act like you're lucky to be eating there. and with acadia you are lucky to eat food this good but they treat you like they are so glad you're there and never let you go too long without checking in. amazing food and wonderful service. this place is amazing!

soft-shell crab. to the best of my knowledge, the only place in portland that has it. that is enough for me. (their etouffee is pretty good, too).

amazing!. i moved to this area from south louisiana about 3 years ago, and i have had a difficult time finding an authentic cajun restaurant. there's a lot of imitators out there. but the owners of acadia got it right!! this place is by far my favorite place in portland! i felt like i was home!! i completely recommend acadia to anyone who truly wants to experience louisiana cuisine at its finest!
