let down. there were a couple of problems on my last visit. the first is the maintenance (tables, chairs, lights, etc.) we were seated in a corner booth that a florescent bulb that was not working properly (flickering so badly one of my party thought her epilepsy might be triggered). in the past, the manager would have escorted us to a new table and fixed this problem. this time, we had to flag a waitress down who told us that we'd have to rejoin the queue to get another table or just tough it out.
after getting another table, our waiter was nice enough. just normal waiter stuff...nothing wonderful. what really upset me was ordering diet coke (i'm a diabetic) and getting "real" dr. pepper. he actually said, "just drink it, i won't charge you." um, what? i'd like *not* to have to up my insulin that night, thanks.
but the real shock came when i opened the menu...the prices had changed! they were higher. and it seemed that the portions had gotten smaller. it was sticker shock! i ordered the carnitas tacos with seasonal vegetables. the pork was extra fatty and bland. the best thing on my plate? the vegetables! too bad they only gave me 4 medallion pieces of squash and a couple slices of red pepper. all that for $10.98. i was expecting that i would be able to take something home. but alas, nothing.
i was just let down by the whole experience this time. i agree that the food quality seems to have gone down hill. but pair that with crap service and high prices...it's just not worth it. spend your money somewhere they seem to appreciate it more.
