3 diners in house tonight, had great food,goodservice,goodexperience, could have more heating in restaurant dining area, have been eating at restaurant for about ten years now, restaurant has always been too cold. can recommend food, best thai in chch.

went to the abalone for a team lunch. the restaurant was warm and had a lovely feel inside. the lunch menu had somegoodvarieties. the pad thai i ordered was amazing, one of the best i have had. everybody was happy with their food. very happy with the quantity and the pricing. the waitress could be a bit more pleasant though :) will return, may be for dinner this time.

the food was reallygoodand prompt which wasgoodconsidering there was a group of 10 of us dining. friendly serving staff although the lady that served us when we went to pay was not overly friendly

tried the restaurant again recently and i have to say the food - particularly the wild pork and wild venison was superb. the menu is extensive and because its easy to read, with pics of some of the dishes, it encourages you to explore thai cuisine. service wasgood- food was great - and the new decor is lookinggoodas well. i would rate this as the best thai food in chch.
