cute cafe. went with friends for dessert and we wished we hadn't already eaten dinner because the savory crepes sounded really good! we opted to share a few desserts but will be back sometime to try some of the other menu items. everything was homemade and delicious.

le meilleur chocolat chaud en ville!. c'est tout simplement le meilleur chocolat chaud au chocolat noir que l'on peut boire à ottawa!!!le service est courtois, chaleureux, et en français en plus... que demander de mieux? le propriétaire est un mec ultra sympathique et qui nous donne le goût d'y retourner.. le lendemain!

lovely food, great owner. had the cordon bleu savoury crepe, the creme brulee, the chocolate tart, the hot chocolate and the little chocolate balls... basically we ate a lot. every single thing was amazing. best crepe i've ever had. the owner, omar has such a beautiful spirit. his attitude definitely adds to the lovely atmosphere. the reviewers weren't joking when they said this place was great.

spectacular chocolate flavours. i had the now famous hazelnut chocolate crepes that owner omar proudly crafts! wow... is the only word that can describe the experience.
omar makes the chocolate hazelnut spread himself using hazelnuts that he hand roasts. sounds like a lot of work but i'm glad he does it. just amazing... nice cup of coffee too!
i can't wait to go back ... i might just have a problem. atfc might have to open a center for customers who have become addicted to its luxurious offerings.

awesome!. i've been to this place twice since i found it and can't wait to go again! the food is delicious. each ingredient is chosen with care. the atmosphere is laid-back. i tried their asparagus crepe and their classic crepe. both were excellent. i also tried a dessert crepe: chocolate with bananas, strawberries, and berries with a dark chocolate drizzle. yummy. yummy. yummy. (they use a high-quality fair-trade chocolate.) i'm going back today for breakfast!

you need to go here! first of all, the food is fantastic and more importantly, the owner (omar) is a caring and lovely human being.
the chocolate fondu is the perfect size with a nice variety of things to dip, and the brownies are the best i have ever had.
i also ordered a cheesecake (ridiculously short notice) which was so good i wanted to eat all of the leftovers in one sitting (i managed to refrain...). omar practically bent over backwards to accommodate my needs. he is very friendly and proud of his creations.

your taste buds will thank you for treating yourself to the deliciousness that awaits you!

chocolate americano was amazing!. i stopped by for a coffee after doing some thrift shopping, and lucky for me the world cup happened to be playing.

i had a hard time deciding what to get since all the menu items sounded delectable, but ended up going for the chocolate americano coffee (it had a fancy name which i forget now).

the chocolate turned out to be real actual pieces of chocolate rather than hot chocolate powder or something gross like that. it was so rich, creamy and satisfying, probably one of the best americano's i've had.

will definitely be back for crepes some day!

lovely place. cool owner, very caring and passionate. had three items, chocolate tart, brownies, and a hazelnut cake. each were totally satisfying. not too sweet. the hazelnut cake was quite amazing. nice and quiet interior as well. will go back to try more things.

the restaurant is nice snd cozy. omar, the owner, is such a wonderful host, he made us feel home. i went with my wife yesderday and we had the canadian and la classic crêpes, they were delicious!

the best place for crepes, especially if you're gluten free!. every time i go to a thing for chocolate it's like coming home, you walk in and you can relax. the food is amazing and they have almond milk hot chocolate! (which is, for someone who is both gluten and dairy free, extremely important) they also have cookies, chocolates (obviously), and a selection of gluten free treats! and the crepes! oh good lord the crepes! even if you don't like the myriad of crepes that are on the menu (both savoury and sweet), omar will make a special crepe for you just the way you like it. buckwheat is the substitute for regular flour but holy moly is it just as good. a thousand and seven thumbs up for this place, you won't need to go anywhere else for crepes.

just had a delightful breakfast at a thing for chocolate after hearing and reading great things. very reasonably priced for the quality of food, cozy atmosphere and great service from the owner omar. had the sweet english with custard blackberries and bananna and a hot chocolate and a brownie to go, all were delicious. my only concern is that once more people start going here there is going to be quite a wait to get a table in the quaint cafe! thank you omar!

fantastique!!!. we went with our family and we enjoyed very much, the crepes were really good and the hot chocolate was amazing. the owner was very friendly. is a good place to visit when you are in ottawa, is not expensve and everything fresh and the decor is very nce.

really delicious and friendly atmosphere. today my husband and i really enjoyed lunch at a thing for chocolate. the crepes and savoury/sweet fillings are amazing! coffee is very flavorful and the service was great too! we will definitely recommend it to family, friends and neighbors. looking forward to returning soon.
